I told my son when he wants to borrow the car, I'll take my Diablo intune programmer and set the top speed for 65.... He didn't find that too funny. I have another year to go before he drives. I know my wife will ask me to teach him to drive... She drives for a living...

My daughter learned to drive in the R/T... she did pretty well, but scared me a few times, I figured it was better if I just bought a 2003 Passat for $2800 and called it a day.
Yes, it's a stick.

My oldest (now 22) learned to drive in smaller cars. First time he drove my R/T I was freaking out because he clearly didn't get the size of the car and came pretty close to biffing a few curbs.

You'll be fine. Just find an empty place to cover basics. And I speak from experience, having taught my daughter to drive partially in the SRT. Also used the wifes Blazer, and eventually the 91 Geo that she drives every day now.
But the SRT isnt a bad platform. You have all the nannies on your side. Start slow, work up.
Inital practice was done here, that piece to the left was done, great for basics, including backing and turns.

Flex, that's one reason I insisted my daughters driving started interchangeably with the Charger, the 99 Blazer, and the Geo. And I still insist she drive both other vehicles on a regular basis.
PD, you are NOT helping........
