R1 rotors

Whats the difference in the regular blank rotors and the drilled/slotted ones?

Looks. That's about it unless you take your car to the track regularly. If you search this forum you will find some good debates on the benefits and downsides to all the different variations you can get for rotors. I bought drilled and slotted just for the looks and they perform just fine on my daily driver.

The idea (in theory) is that drilled/slotted rotors will keep cooler under high-heat braking and be more resistant to warping. I have some on my car that replaced the stock rotors which warped at under 20k miles. They seem to be holding up well, but the jury is still out. They aren't R1's however.

FWIW - I shied away from the drilled/slotted and just went with R1 slotted. I read a few reviews (about drilled and slotted in general, regardless of manufacturer) you run the risk of the drilled holes rusting and cracking the rotors. Although the reviews make no mention of the types of conditions under which this might happen.

Thanks guys for responding, my front ones are warped a little bit and seen someone talking about these on here and checked them out and they look good.
