the better suggestion would be is to not tint the tail lights. different states, different laws imposed.
it's nice to be driving in california without worrying about something like a tinted tail light.

Law is that they must be clearly visible during the daytime when activated and at nite when lights are off they must REFLECT back RED clearly.
Simple, if you modify from stock, which is DOT approved, then they are no longer DOT approved and would be ticketed at the discretion of the officer.

How about mass? anyone have a problem here? i was thinking about getting the gts blackout covers but what if i just smoke it a little like 35%. i have led tail light which r brighter than regular ones
