Hi guys! Thanks for doing this again. I'm sure the turnout will be better this time as the word got out in plenty of time.

My question/concern is about our little pink thingys (shift part lockout mechanism). Mine are fine, but a large number of others have broken and it's not just the SRT8's that are affected. I would hate either of mine to break and feel this part needs to be looked into.

Many of us feel this is a quality issue and think this should require a TSB as the part is clearly inadequate/inferior. There are numerous threads spanning most LX boards on this.

A great supporting vendor on this site, BILLET TECHNOLOGY has come up with a fix for this and I believe they've been sourced out by Chrysler in the past.

Hi engineers.

I purchased my '08 Challenger back in August. I followed the break in period suggested in the manual. However, I've been experiencing what I would call excessive wheel spin.

It happens easiest on rainy days, but even in dry weather, if I accelerate hard (like from a stop light), the wheels will break loose. There have been multiple occasions that it's been bad enough to cause the car to slide sideways. (stop light, turned left, broke loose mid turn)

This isn't the first SRT I've driven, especially in these conditions (I've been to the track experience twice) and it seems that the traction control isn't working properly.

I've taken it into the dealer several times for them to look at and every time they tell me that there's nothing wrong with it.

My question is, after all that... was the Challenger's traction control system designed to allow for more wheel spin, or is this a bigger issue that has yet to be corrected. I know a few other Challenger owners from the challengertalk.com forum that have experienced this same issue.

I understand that the 09 300C, Challenger and Charger SRT-8s will come with a stock G648 Rear Axle with Limited Slip. I want Limited Slip. I have an 06 300C SRT-8.

1. If I order in the Challenger rear-end, will it drop right into our beloved older models?
2. Do the half shafts have to be changed as well or will the original SRT-8 axles fit?

What is the torque rating of the TR6060 used on the 2009 SRT8 and is it as tough as what's in the viper ? Is there plans to beef-up the half-shafts since it should be easier to break them with the TR6060 ?

1)What causes the "Bump from behind" when stopped at a traffic light.

2)Many cars, especially Chargers, are shutting off while driving.
Is Chrysler addressing this problem? There are numerous threads
on the Charger forums documenting the problem with no known solutions.

This forum is LX focused but I have a small question about the challenger go-wing if you dont mind. My car will mainly see highway speeds and go on a race track only once a year for fun. I doubt it will ever see 170mph. How did the go-wing do in wind-testing and is it much detrimental compared to the SRT triangle spoiler ?
