Hi, I haven't bought mine yet,lol. I have test drove a few. Yes, they only go into AWD under certain conditions, including putting the tranny in manual mode. U don't need to be worried about using the manual mode. These transmissions are bulletproof. The only difference is you must upshift yourself as the rpms reach whatever rpm you feel comfortable shifting at. When racing, it's usually just shy of redline. Normally, about 4000-4500 rpms. I'm waiting to see the color choices/options for the 2013's to buy mine. Enjoy yours. Tom

Hey I got a R/T AWD too! Pearl Red With Leather Interior and sunroof, jw if you noticed that the car goes to rwd by itself...and I've never used the "manual transmission thingy" becuase i'm afraid to mess up my transmission. I'm new here, so may be you have ne ideas?
