No set mileage, just depends on how worn they are. Not sure how to check them, but I'll look around and see. Hmmm, that clunk could be a bad rack, could also be a bad tire rod end, which, done by a pro, should be about $120-130. $800 is a reasonable price for a rack, but I would want more assurance that it is the rack. I would see about getting it checked somewhere else besides that place.

Hey, Charger SRT08 told me I could ask you a question if you dont mind????? Here it goes:
When do I replace the shocks or springs on my SRT8? Is there a certain mileage? Also, should I go back to the OEM's or get an aftermarket brand? Also, the dealer said that my rack and pinion are bad. Everytime i hit a bump there is an annoying sound like the wheel is loose. They were trying to charge me 800 dollars to get it replaced. I told them no. I believe that thats to much.

nothing, thats not mine, thats a local kid who did an insurance job, vandalized his own car like that, then reported it done. Got caught, and this year he shot himslef and reported it as an attempted break in.
