I do not believe so, I personally know a handful of people that have put these on their cars and have had no issues.

We just finished installing the underdrive pulley and it is a PITA to install.
It is opbvious that the 8512a tool was intended for use on an engine out of the car.
The required tool (Got it from Milller's) is too long to fit without taking the radiator out so we had to cut off about 3 inches which meant we had to be 'creative' how to how to hold the end of it so the engine did not turn when tightening this thing down.
Since Chrsyler does not used a keyed method for this pulley, it ends up being a really tight fit on the crank shaft.
I have the SLP pulley and to be darn sure, I had the machine shop at the Diodge dealer mill the inside so it was exactly the same diamaeter as the standard one we took off.
Getting that thing tight those last few turns is a bear.
I just hope that no one trys to take a short cut and hammer the pulley on the 2 inches required if one just wanted to use the install bolt to draw it in. I heard of someone in our group who said he beat the pulley on 2 inches with a rubber hammer- bad,bad
Never hit that pully with even a rubber hammer. Particulary if it is on the crank

The pulley is a bit of a pain as a stand alone mod. Most of the LSx guys only do it when they are doing a cam since it it is on the way.
