Some of us LOVE it. Those other guys are just jealous because White is the fastest and smoothest color. So yes, on with the thread honoring the greatest car color.

Mine's #132. I got it last November. It's at 3000 miles now, and the engine's starting to loosen up. I was a regional manager for Chrysler and had a 300C, a Charger R/T w R&T, an SRT8 300 and an SRT8 Charger. The VCT 09 is starting to feel pretty good. It's firmly planted in between the old R/T and the SRTs as far as acceleration goes. I'm very happy with it so far.

Just traded my '06 R/T yesterday for '09 Daytona #313. What a beauty! I'm very much impressed by the multimedia center (radio :D) and the quieter and smoother ride.

Newbie here in the Panhandle of Florida, just bought #238 a week ago and LOVE IT!!!
And the mods have begun....15% window tint, costaltech lockpick and ipod adaptor, script emblems on the front and back (all thanks to this forum).
Next on the list is black rims.....and still trying to decide on the shaker hood with the Ram Air sealed system or just the AFE stage II. Which one will give me better performance?

We bought the one that we drove when we first went there. When we went to actually do the numbers, that one was MIA. So we drove what is now your car and they parked it in front of the dealership doors.

But they screwed around so long I had to leave. The next day when I went back, I found the car we drove the 1st time (the original salesperson parked it in the back to be sure no one would buy it), it ran harder and faster than yours :biggrinjester:

I even warned them to be sure that the papers work was correct. They didn't call until a whole week later to say they screwed up!!!! and I was driving around with a unregistered car.

Then the idiots called again this past Thursday. I had to go back again cause they screwed up the vin on the trade in papers!!!

Check out the Las Vegas Chargers thread in the southwest section. See ya at a meetup.

BTW....Nice car too :beerchug:

Congrats on the car. Kind of cool you got one of the Canadian destined cars. Are you close to the autobahn? Would like to hear your impressions of it running at higher sustained speeds.

Plans for any mods? (exhaust, CAI. etc.)
Good luck

Car only has 550 miles on it so not too crazy with it yet. Drove home from port (6 hours) all autobahn and it is an awesome car. Only 1 on the road. People slowing down like crazy to gawk at me :). Took her up to 135 mph for about 15 minutes just to see. She settled right in, got tight, and ran like a scalded ape. Had lots left to give, but I backed off. First mods will be CAI, and a cat-back. Just trying to decide what brands. Reading all the info and listening to sound clips to find the tone I want. Lots of info on how loud, but Im concerned about drone too. Oh, and at 135 mph........I still got passed by a damn station wagon.

LoL... passed by a station wagon.
Good to hear about it settling in at 135. Once you have it broke in and let it breath a bit, she'll be good to go.

I just put on a cat back (Magnaflow). Sounds real nice. Not too loud, but you can hear it, and haven't noticed any drone at any speed. When you start it up, it sounds like a muscle car. Deep bass. Would do it again.

Haven't installed a CAI yet so I can't comment, it supposed to add a bit more sound and should allow a bit more air-flow. May even just try a drop-in K&N filter.

Good luck and have fun.:beerchug:

Hello, I am new to this forum, I am probably buying a 2009 Datona Charger brand new. Is the engine tuned different than the r/t's? Any other differences besides the badging? I also own a new Camaro SS, and am on a forum for that also. Nice to find this site.

Yes, it has the Mygig with Nav, leather seats, sunroof, I picked it up in LA at Carmax, brand new. My wife and I flew out there and drove it back to Tucson. I love the Mygig Nav, and the remote start. I wish it had the push button start :) SRT8 are Awesome :)

I picked up #382 from Matteson IL about three weeks ago. I've washed it four times, but it has only been clean for about two days since then. It started snowing 15 minutes after I left the dealer. The white looks great with the black. White is always a clean look.

I traded a 2006 SXT for it. I traded an Intrepid for that. My wife has always said the Charger has a GRRRR fierce look. I told her now we have a growl to go with it!

I love the car, it's great to drive. The 2006 is a great car too. Other than a warped rotor, it had no problems.

I live in Central Illinois. I put a Lockpick in today, and I am thinking about adding the rearview camera. I have considered a front camera to monitor how close I am getting to the parking blocks also. I may add a monitor or two for the rear seats. I'm not sure how I would mount them at the moment.

I am also seeing what I can do to get the fog lights to match the output of the OEM 4300K HID lamps. I was originally thinking about Sylvania Silverstars but I am looking at HID as well. I'm not sure which is the best way to go yet.

That's what I'm thinking about for now.

I got it from Ebay. There is someone there that sells it with the AV cable as V2.5. It installs real easy. I did need to file a little off the front edge of the gray connector to get it to push in to the head unit all the way. I tucked the module to the right of the head unit. It took about 15 or 20 minutes. If I add the camera it will take longer.

It does a lot to the system. We were pretty annoyed with the inability to enter addresses and POIs when moving. I never enter them as a driver, but my wife does as a passenger with our Garmin. Now she can with the Mygig. There are several other cool features too.
