I have an '06 SE. Was reading through the Double-Din thread on installing the DDX712 but was wondering what other options there was for purchases as far as touchscreens go? I don't need the navigation so that should save some money, but any other suggestions?

Why are you deciding against the DDX712? Great system IMO.

I'm def not deciding against the DDX712 all together right now. But just reading different threads about it, it's been out for at least a few years now, so I was wondering if there was just more options out there that people have been satisified with? Just wanted to gain as much knowledge on this subject as I can before I start buying all the components.

They are plenty of non-nav double din HU, I didnt go nav because I know my city like the back of my hand..... and I "wal-mart rental" portable units when I travel LOL, til I can afford an Eclipse HU with Nav....

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...but the DDX712 came out in 2008...it is one of there newest non-nav units.
