Is the bass too loud and overpowering everything else?

Have you tried actually adjusting the bass levels on the MyGig itself?

No, I put one in my car and think it sounds good but not loud enough. I found a PDF file from kicker for LX cars. The stock sub can handle 400 watts. Stock we only get 200 because of the amp. I can email the instructions to you if you would like them. I'm actually looking for an amp right now and maybe a bigger woofer:D Just pm me your email.

If I'm not mistaken, you have to fade more toward the rear and it will help!!, that's how I was told to do it at the dealer on my kicker system...fade to the rear...Mines R5

Other than the equalizer, I can't find any controls for the Kicker sub.

I solved the bass volume issue by installing another sub with its own amp. I suspect most of the car audio experts on this forum would chastise me for my methods, but I like the results. And it doesn't look too bad either...

FWIW, I had a 600w Alpine mono amp sitting around with a Boston Acoustics Sub. The nice thing about the Alpine is it will accept line level inputs without running wires to the head unit. Since we have speaker wiring (or an amp feed with the Kicker) in the rear deck, it's easy to feed this amp.

Just use the fader on the audio controls.....Just fade it rear
