I purchased a new 2008 dodge charger a few months back . I decided to have a OEM remote starter with 2 new key fobs installed.a red flag should have went up when the dealer told me they never installed one before. It works when it wants 2. It's been back to the dealership 3 times to get this thing straightened out and they always tell it works fine .
The last time the dealer had the car for one week, they said no problem starter works. start the car to leave dealer it works, next day at home it does'nt work.
my wife and I come from a long list of family GM mechanics.
you dont have to have a college degree to push the button on the key fob twice.
can anyone help or direct me in some way ,before I start raising heck with dodge
thanks frank

Does it not work only in your driveway ?
In that case, you might have radio-signal interference ... any radio towers in the area ?
Try taking it to another dealer.

Doe's it work away from your house?

o.e. remote starts have a big issue with the hood pin switch being faulty/intermittent.
also if your vehicle is parked at more than a 30 degree angle , the remote start will also not work sometimes. The angle of the hood ball switch kills ground to the system

open the hood. its a metal piece with a ball in it that will be drilled to the underside of the hood and should have a wire going up to it. should be back by the hinges

Exactly! Check or replace that hood switch

You can diag this switch by running a ground straight from that wire on the switch to the neg post of the battery and checking the system.
