I'm putting two amps on that board and a set of components. that way if i want to listen to music at a car show I won't have to crank it up to hear the words.
I'm pretty happy with the new box I made, it's nice & solid.
hopefully i'll have finished pics tomorrow!

got it all done. it sounds real good but doesn't look perfect

it'll do for now though. I need to slap some carpet or something on that little corner of the box that's peeking through but you won't see it unless you're squatting down

I decided to rebuild the facade and hide all the stuff to give it a cleaner look. I think this looks better...

I agree. With the first one was kind of flashy and cluttered. Too much was going on. The 2nd one was more clean cut. Looks great though.

the 2nd looks better x5 lol also why dont you throw 2 12"s in their with the idea of the second one? i think that will look dope also what were the steps to get that done ive been wanting to do something like this to my car.....

no room for two 12s. behind that facade is the sub box, two air compressors, two amps, a 5 gallon air tank, and 8 air valves...

It's not hard to do, I just built a normal box and then got some masonite at Lowe's ($6 per sheet) and cut it to fit. The masonite is very flexible so you can cut it to be a tight fit and bend it to wedge down in there around the edges.
I live south of OKC in Oklahoma.

thats masonite board? hmm it looks thick? im so lost bro lol so masonite is flexable where i can get a piece and bend it and trim?

The box is made of 3/4" MDF. I just built a panel to go across the front out of masonite. I think it was 1/8" thick because the 1/4" wasn't flexible enough. I got it at Lowe's. A 4'x8' sheet was right around $6 and I didn't even use half of it. This is how it looks without the panel:

Here are a few more (dark) pics. I took these in the garage at night so they're not very bright.

i see what you did now thats a koo idea so you remounted your amp n stuff on the back? and also with your final set up is there enough room to get the spair out?

yeah the flap folds straight up, it doesn't block access at all. the amps are mounted to the rear of the box now. they haven't overheated yet but i may end up putting a fan or something for air flow back there

i like that idea i just want something so i can get the spair out ya know? also i think it would be sick if you made something to mount 1 amp on each side of where the tail lights are...... i think thats gonna be my plan:rocker:

I did that with my first setup but there was too much wasted space behind them that I could use to carry stuff so I decided to change it. I've had about 5 different setups in this car since I bought it in October but I'm happy with this one.

i know what you mean.....
my advantage is i dont have bagz so i can push my sub box a lil further back. also what you think would be better a ported or sealed for our charger trunks i have the same kicker sub but i got two.....
ib2loud

ported would probably be louder if it's built correctly. i didn't have room to do ported or I would have done that. The one sub in the sealed box sounds real clean though.

Yea port that it into the cabin and you will def. have a rediculous amount of bass. BTW I am really liking this setup 2loud....looks professional and stealth. Stealth always looks sexy. I got two 15's and trying to do a stealth setup like this. Trying to come up with a box design that will allow me to port the box into the cabin trhrough the rear deck lid in the empty 8 inch sub hole in the deck.

i removed the rear 6x9s and the covering over the stock sub location so I don't have any problems with the bass not entering the cabin. the sub box isn't really big enough to be ported and sealed boxes always sound so much tighter to me.
