Hey guys,

I'm a complete noob when it comes to a sound system and frankly i was happy with my stock speakers on my 2009 V6 HO Charger until I heard my friend bought a Mazda RX-8 GT which had Bose speakers and after listening to these bad boys i was astounded. The sound quality was really crisp and nice. Now i know Bose Speakers are realllyyy expensive so I was wondering if you guys could help me out here.

I am completely new to the sound area and don't even know what an amp is and the purpose it serves. So I was wondering if you guys could enlighten me with some good speakers I can put in my car.

Because I am only looking for a nice clear, crisp sound and am wondering what sound combo/system thing can give me that without draining my wallet??

Bose actually doesn't even make aftermarket car audio, it's only available from the factory and even still aftermarket systems are much better and handle much more power.
12volt.com is a good way to learn about car audio. As far as where to buy, I always start at sonicelectronix.com, their customer service is on par with crutchfield.com but more affordable prices. Ebay is great place to find deals, but you have to know what your looking for. Honestly any decent, name-brand car audio manufacter such as pioneer, alpine, polk, boston and kicker are great starting points. A basic system consisting of a four channel amp, four interior speakers and at least one subwoofer with a amp to power it, or a five channel amp to power your enitre system from these companies would blow your friends system out of the water. Even high-end manufacter's from-the-factory system are inferior to full blown after market equipment. Ask anyone with the Factory boston system if it can compare to what Boston offers at your local car audio dealer. Not even close.....

Try Infinities and JLs. They have really good aftermarket stuff.

x2 I dont know how I left out Infinity, I have a Infinity 4ch. JBL and infinity are essentially the same, coming from the same parent company. Check out both brands subs, they are the same......

k, so i did some homework and went to Best buy and had a look at their speakers etc...

Now I was thinking of only replacing the interior speakers to see how that sounds and if the need arises then I will get an amp later on down the road. As for a sub woofer, will not be needing that because I like my trunk space for groceries and other goodies.

So I was wondering if other people can give a rough idea on how much they spent on just replacing all the stock speakers and another price showing how much they spent on an amp.

Personally, i'm not looking for the BEST solution but somewhere in the middle of inexpensive and great sound quality. Any help would be appreciated.
