Do you know what else we would need to do to make the system sound good. Will adding the Sub make the system better? Or Does it just add some bass to the system?

Will this work with the Sound System two? Do you just unhook the Boston and plug in the Kicker? Does it come with all the wiring and plugs needed? I'm intrested, I just need these questions answered.

Is this a better setup than the sound group II package? I don't even know where the current amp and sub are located--would it really be that easy to replace my current amp and sub with this one?

Also, are the other Kicker speakers in the other group buy better than the BA speakers? I've seen mixed reviews of the Kicker system from the SRT8 folks.

Thanks,
RT

This may clear up some of the questions regarding the Sub Kit. This was posted by a gentleman that works for Kicker on the 300cforums site.

I will clarify as much as I can for everyone. Hope this helps.

Q. Do you know how this will affect the factory BA Sub? Would the Charger Sub Kicker Sub fit in the 300C. I was wondering because that one is a 200 watt powered sub. Thanks for the info. Answer- No. The kit is specific to the vehicle you have. That is how it is designed, especially the housings.

Q.These kits have there own amp, and you will have to run the supplied wiring. It is marketed by Mopar, so you know they are making it so it will work with your factory systems. They may be tapping into the rear speaker wires for the input, not sure though. The power may tap into the rear mounted battery area that is ignition sourced hot, so you may not have to run wires all the way to the dash. Again, we have no clarification on this yet, and are trying to find out the details. Answer- It will plug into the existing harness located under the rear deck. Power will go to the battery in the rear of the vehicle.

Q. So we are under the assumption that it will work properly with the factory BA Sub. Answer- The factory BA sub will need to be removed when you add this system. The sub amp that is supplied will mount directly where the BA sub is located.

These add-on systems were designed to make it as easy as possible for the customer. You will need to remove the rear seat, side bolsters, and rear parce shelf in order to install everything, but this can all be done in less than 2 hours. It is not intimidating but it does require some patience. The instructions provided should be vey detailed and should also inlcude step by step photos. Good luck everyone, you will enjoy the systemif you choose to go with it.

BA6 speakers vs Kicker:
Biggest difference is the cone materials. The BA6 speakers are made with paper cones, the Kickers are made with much better material resulting in a much cleaner, crisper sound.
One SRT8 owner quoted as saying "Effin Amazing, what a difference!".

here is a pic of the 6 x 9...the subwoofer is a 10" square sub (simular to the L5) and comes with a 200 watt amp that mounts in the rear deck. wiring is all plug an play...very easy to install. it will work with the 6 speaker and 7 speaker system as well as the base audio 4 speaker systems.....

does anybody make a matching sub kit for the passenger side?

Thanks Ted and Kcustom for the follow up info.

One more question--Sound Group II comes with a 322 watt amp. Is that 322 watt amp dedicated only to the BA sub or does it also support the other BA speakers?

The BA amp is an 8 channel amp 46 x 8 (only uses 7 for the Charger and 6 for the Magnum) so you will lose 48 watts for the factory sub but you will be adding 200 watts and a 10" square woofer instead of an 8" round mounted freeair....

The kicker upgrade is a upgrade from the BA system. All you have to is to take the BA speakers out and install the Kickers. No cutting or drill required.
