Good news guys & gals, I received my ProCharger kit today!!!:rocker: I started working on the install right after work at 6pm. So far I haven't had any issues and I am on page 16 0f 40 after 3 1/2 hours. I mounted the ProCharger and let me tell you, it looks GREAT! I should have everything buttoned up by tomorrow night. I purchased the satin finish supercharger but I plan on polishing the unit and all the brackets myself at a later date. I'll post some pics soon!:bigthumb:

Here are the pics, I will take pics of each major step as I go and I'll keep everyone posted.

Well......yes and no! You get a new Diablo Tuner but you have to e-mail Diablo with the serial numbers to the Procharger and they send you the supercharged tune. Don't be jelous..........be on the look-out for one fast Stoned White Charger!!!:driving:

Ok Guys & Gals, I just finished up with the supercharger install! I had some small issues that I had to fix and I worked out all the bugs too. The car runs like a CHAMP!!! It's a totally different car now! The weird thing is now my brakes are pulsating very bad so I'll have to check that out as well. I'm very tired and it's late so I'll post some more pics and a video tomorrow.:rocker:

So far the only problem I have is at initial start up, the car cranks a bit longer and it almost struggles to start. After the car starts I get a bit of black smoke that comes out of the tail pipe. After that it's all good, the car pulls very hard and chirps the tires going into 2nd and 3rd. I called ProCharger and they said the smoke may be coming out because the computer is still in re-learn mode??? I drove over 100 miles today and I still get the smoke. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Tim, that sound you hear is very normal! There are 2 square cut gears in the unit 1 large and 1 small gear that are smashing against each other and thats where you get the sound. Once you give it a bit of gas the noise goes away. The funny thing is when your driving the car, the only thing you hear is a small whine. Once you get above 30 MPH you can't even hear the unit.

Check out this video and look at the gears I'm talking about.:beerchug:

Looks and sounds great!

All ProCharger systems that I have heard all sound the same. I know some people think it may be a problem, but no its normal. The gears for some reason at idle make alot of noise.

If you dont mine me asking how much was the system for the 5.7?

how does the air intake mount on the unit ?

It mounts right on the inlet of the supercharger using a large elbow. It's a very tight fit!

I spoke to Procharger about doing the install and they said on the 6.1 I have to pin the crank, basically I have to drill a hole in the shaft of one of the pulleys to install a pin due to the high output of the S/C.

Did you have to do that to the 5.7L for install?

No, that may be on the direct/dedicated drive belt.

Nice set up bro, the videos too.....that's the one thing that i was a little let down about on my Vortech.....the sound or lack of. Its silent. I'm sure many people prefer it that way but as on my other cars, i just love to hear that blower wine when i pull up to a light or roll through a parking lot. Just my opinion.

So when are you gonna strap that tire muncher to a dyno??

So when are you gonna strap that tire muncher to a dyno? Tire Muncherhttp://www.smileyhut.com/laughing/rofl.gif (http://www.smileyhut.com)

These dyno numbers were with the engine warm, I did this more for the air fuel mixture than to see the H/P.:beerchug:
