ok, so i got an '06 base R/T and recently got an iphone. a few ?'s....
1.) will the ipod kit work with an iphone?
2.) where do i get the kit?
3.) how hard is it to install?? (i've had the dash apart already for my noesp mod and i've installed aftermarket radios/subs in other cars)
4.) could i use the phone function through the radio? (use the stereo speakers to hear the caller and they can still hear me through the phone)
thanks all, tired of listening to all my cd's and this would be a great change and immensely cheaper than burning new ones.

hey man i just installed the integration kit in my charger last month.
first of all it says its not compatible with the iphone, but i remember reading in the forums somewhere that if you turn the phone onto "airplane mode", it will work....i'm not 100% on this...might want to do some research.
as for actually receiving and sending calls using the integration kit, i dont think it would work. i say this because of how the integration kit works. once it is plugged in it actually utilizes the existing sirius satillite controls within your factory headunit. so basically, for a very short example, say you have a playlist on your ipod that is 100 songs in length, one song is displayed on each channel, there for song 1 on the playlist is channel 1, song 72 would be channel 72. its confusing but you'll understand better what i mean if you install it.
as for the install, its super simple. take the radio out, unplug the harness, plug the integration kit harness inline and put everything back in. no biggie. you'll be fine.
as a side note, one thing i didnt know until i had the unit installed and read the instructions is that every time you use your ipod, it deletes all your satillite radio station presets. kind of sucks, but i listen to my ipod more than sirius, so it is what it is...
hopefully this helps! :rocker:
