My cursory research into supercharging my '09 SRT-8 has yet to reveal any "hard" numbers for 0-60 times, or 1/4 times and traps after the mod. I'm considering the Vortech, Procharger, and the yet-untested Saleen units and I'm curious as to what kind of results (besides the well-documented dyno #s) I might reliably expect. Thanks!

I've been looking for the same info so I said screw it I'll just buy my own ProCharger and get my own results! I even called ProCharger direct to get E.T. improvements and they didn't have that info. My ProCharger should be here by the end of the week, I hope!:rocker:

May want to pm "nickinfleet" since he recently installed his blower. I am curious myself.

Concerning the SMS unit, after reading up it seems that Saleen is trying to stay on the conservative side. I may have read it wrong but i thought they were trying to stay at 4 lbs of boost and no need to upgrade the fuel pump with their kit....

Don't misunderstand what i am saying... I definately want an SMS Supercharger, regardless of performance, it looks kick ass!:bigthumb:

I think you're right about the 4lbs or so of boost. Sean Saleen told me over the phone that should be good enough for close to (maybe more than) 600hp at the fly. The cost of the SMS unit is a bit higher than than the other two I'm considering, but it sure does look slick, and I think the company name speaks for itself.

Good luck with the Procharger! Post some times when you have a chance.

Drivability will go out the door with a snap snapping postive displacement blower....just a heads up...oh and welcome more tranny issues as well

Obviously you never owned a positive displacement blower if you think that is true. Positive displacement blowers are extremely compatible with street driving and they do not affect drivability at all.
These bloweres use a relief valve so that when there is vaccum there is no boost. When you go wide-open-throttle then the valve is closed and the boost is not vented. However at any partial throttle speed you are working without boost.
I have driven a PD blown car for 2.5 years and never had any problems with drivability. It drives just like stock until you put the pedal down all the way.
How is drivability affected then?
