V6 Catback HELP

First off, my dealer wants 1200$!!! For this system, when I can order it for 500$

Second, they say the second it goes on its gonna cause warrenty problems cause if anything happens to my engine they can claim it was my exhast that caused it..,. how true is this? Are they just warning me about what COULd happen or am I been taken for a ride?

Finally.. can I install this myself? CAuse there is no way I"m paying them 1200 for a 500$ kit

hmmmm well I dont know about the warranty law in Canada but I agree with the price concerns. I have the exhaust and its great. But if its Mopar equipment and a private shop installs it..how is the dealer going to know? and come on...how could the exhaust system hurt the engine...its from the cats back. Hey I might have some better prices than $500 PM me

I guess I also need to understand exactly WHAt a cat back is, does it do anything to increase flow or backpressure? Cause if not, ya, it cant do JACK. pm Sent

Decreases back pressure and increases the ability for the engine to breathe. Remeber this is a mopar part. It is designed to go on this car. even if the damn thing fell off it couldnt hurt the engine!
