Your correct, our web site has not received the newest pt# change, the parts you will receive will be the newest available number, currently "AE"
The part number for the Park Distance Sensors is 82208246AC for those who need this.

This is a little misleading, to me "factory u-connect" includes the auto dimming/u-connect mirror, the u-connect Johnson Controls module, and wire harnesses needed to have the factory installed version. This I consider a good aftermarket option, not one I want due to the transparent installation and the EVIC display. This is a fine option for some and possibly most, I just prefer to spend a little more, put a little more time to install for the right look and function.

I completely understand your post krcossin, and respect your decision. This is the factory available accessory package, which has the dash mounted UConnect system. It is a Mopar approved addon system that is supported by Mopar and covered under the Mopar warranty.
The option you have chosen is not covered by the factory warranty as it is not factory installed option, but a customer installed option. If not done properly, could yield some damage to the factory wiring or systems which DaimlerChrysler would not cover. If a problem happened down the line not due to installation, the repair would not be covered as well unless it falls under the Mopar Parts warranty of 12/12 and who installed it for labor coverage. You might get lucky in that the dealer may not catch the fact that the vehicle was not factory equipped with the UConnect. If they submitt a warranty claim for it, they would end up getting charged back from DaimlerChrysler. So the dealer would ultimately be the one repairing your vehicle at their expense.
Just wanted to let everyone know what the details on this may be as far as warranties are concerned. I would also preferr your choice of UConnect, as it is a much cleaner installed product, nothing extra on the dash that doesn't look like it shouldn't be there.

Ted, that is a perfect reply to my concern. I appreciate how you addressed what I brought up and have added your website: http://www.moparsupercenter.com/

Ted,
I have been looking at the Park Distance Sensors for my Top Banana Charger (had them on my last BMW and realy, really miss having them). Once I get the kit, I still need it painted and installed - any idea how much is that? Do you or can you offer the sensors already painted? Or do you know where to have them painted?

Finally got my uConnect installed. Unless your very tallented in car stereo/electronics instalation, I suggest going to somebody that is. I had it done at a dealership. It cost me $125 to install.
Now, how do I like it? I think it is absolutely AWESOME! It works perfectly with my motorola v551. It has it's own internal phonebook, and the sound quality is superb. I mounted the control pad to the left of the ac/radio, where you right knee is. Bottom line is, I wish I had bought it factory, but this system is excellent. I'm very happy.
