View Full Version : Group Buy Ideas
JEFF@MPSC
02-23-2006, 11:14 AM
We as supporting vendors of this forum are more than willing to try and put together a group buy on any of the items we carry. If you have a idea for a group buy, post it up here and we will see what we can do! We have done several different group buys on many forums.
When promotions are available, we look at additional ways we can create one off opportunities for the forums we support. Such an example is the truckload accessory promotions where many of the factory accessory parts were available in a grouped bulk purchase. We were able to stack up orders to acheave the requirement levels for the promotion, thus extending the additional discounts to our customers rather than soaking them up as additional profits.
We are here to help, but if we do not know there is a demand for a particular item, we will never know to check for additional ways to save our customers their hard earned money. So post away some suggestions for group buys, we will then judge the interest, and look for opportunities to save while purchasing in bulk.

Not much mark in the struts, we already have a package listed on our website. How much interest is there in this, maybe we could even supply the tap needed.

Its the little lip (much like a trunk lip) but it goes on the top of the read window (connected to the roof). See http://www.abgmotoring.com/abgm/

I've had them in and it helps alot. The charger has a high rear, so It's hard to see. It comforts you when backing up. I've had it in other cars, but this car needs it. It's worth it.
can some one explain to me how the sensor works? i have it in the lexus, not the charger. but the lexus has the sensors built into the bumper and the rearview camera over the license plate. i am wondering how the sensor works, is it a long line that is fished through the car? or is it like a wireless sensor?
any help would be appreciated.

Alot of cars come w/ the reverse sensor, but that just means it's done at the factory. You can add them on, just the same as them coming w/ them already. They are not wireless, but when you look at the box, it dosn't look like much. I can't remember if it's ran to the front or somewhere connected in the rear? I can find out or you could call your dealer. If its ran to the front, it's not that long down one side. The only difference is when you add it to the car, it comes w/ a light indicator on distance and beeps. Reverse camera, well you wouldn't want to drill a hole in your trunk to stick a camera. Theres not really any place to conceal it.

The post we did for the LX forum on using the Daytona Style seats in a Magnum.
Well, I have been doing a bunch more research on this swap, and have found some interesting news. The following parts are used on both seats of a Daytona Charger and Magnum R/T.
Daytona Seat option YL vs Magnum Seat option CL
Lower seat pan
Lower seat cushion bumper pads (4)
Lower seat heater pads
Passenger side seat back frame (power seat only)
Seat back heater pads
Locking headrest sleeve
Non-locking headrest sleeve
The following components would be required to do this seat swap in the front.
Rh & Lh lower seat cushion foam
Rh & Lh lower seat cover
Lh seat back frame
Rh & Lh seat back cushion foam
Rh & Lh seat back covers
Rh & Lh headrests
After looking up all the components we determined that this is not quite as expensive as we had originally determined. Retail prices on the required items comes to a total of $2632.00 for the front pair of seats. Our price on this conversion comes to $1859.46 plus shipping. The shipping charges would not be that bad, as the largest thing in the whole package is the seat back cushions and frame.
So, to answer the above question, YES, they will fit without any problems, as the seat bottom pan is the same thing as what you may already have. To verify that this conversion will work, please call us with your VIN to determine the actual items needed. The above quote is for the Daytona style seat covers without the logo's.

SRT rear Diffuser
We thought that there was a slight difference in the rear bumper covers, and based on the following quote, figured this was not going to work.
Hey guys, just an FYI... I found out today that the SRT-8 and the R/T rear bumpers are different, and the SRT diffuser will not work on the R/T bumper...
Also, the SRT diffuser takes 4 of the plastic rivits, and 6 metal clips... (crawled under an Srt-8 today).
However, if someone else has done this modification with success, please tell us what you did.

Hey Ted,
Got my Uconnect from you guys. Awesome price. Can't wait to install it.
Somebody asked about factory NAV unit. I'd be very interested in buying one. Please let us/me know.
Thanks,
David

Just a comment, the factory NAV sucks compared to just about anything on the market today. They put a 2-year old Alpine outdated NAV in a 2006 model car. You can go to any car audio shop and buy the latest Pioneer or Hitachi double-din NAV system for the same price and have a LOT more functionality. The lack of touch screen is especially annoying. You have to spin a knob through the alphabet then hit enter, then spin again, hit enter, etc. Boo on the NAV system.
