06 Charger License Plate Names [Archive]

oh brother.... I have a list of 45 plate possibilities... I was thinking if I did something like 2FAST4U or YESHEMI, it might be a bit of a cop-magnet.... ya know? so, I was thinking doing something else like BVR LVR or GOTMILF, but then I figured - - I gotta drive this to church too.... so, I have applied for STUGOTS, which is Tony Soprano's boat name on the Sopranos (I'm a huge fan)... STUGOTS means testicles or BALLS, and I figure that is appropriate for the car.... cause it's got balls, man!

oh yeah that does suck...i had 7 to work with so godaddy was a perfect fit...everytime i hit the pedal to the floor and take off my two year old daughter says "go daddy" in this i am in pain b/c we are going so fast voice....it kills me and my wife everytime she does it. that's my story

Illinois has already turned down DA X 6 for some reason. They claim that it's already issued, but I have the means to check that out, and it isn't. I guess I'll just stick with my old three letter, three number plate, which I've had for 20 years.

Just got my personal plate yesterday BVR LVR was available but the wife said no way. So I got PRO*HEMI. I think it is simple and maybe people will stop asking me all the time at the gas station "That thing got a HEMI?".

I was considering other word plays, but most seem to be taken already in Virginia:

Called to find out if plate was mailed out and found out I got my third choice. This plate thing is not as easy as you think. Lots of "good" plates already taken. Not sure if I will keep this one. Buts its still better than the standard issue plate. I have a few new ones in mind, but will call FIRST to see if they are taken.

For those that unfortunately have a dealer installed plate mount drilled into the front bumper with their dealership advertisment plate, I suggest having someone make you up this custom plate to replace it:

Wifes car plate HER DAYT. I get to drive it when it is dirty and empty. What a drive. Just came back from sunny Florida and averaged 24.7 MPG at 75-80 all the way. With over 5000 miles, engine is starting make some new power.

California allows 7 letters and a half space. Specialized characters are also allow: Heart, Star, Hand, and Cross. So in the spirit of CA I investigated the first plate shown in my attachment. But CA dmv can be so hostile. So I ended up going with the spirit of our Governator shown in the second attachment.

For my SRT8: 6 L HEMI nice and simple. California gives you seven characters and a half space. Also makes sure that people know you're not one of the 5.7 L cars.

I just thought of a couple on the way to work, playing on the "Charger" name, you know, knights and their steeds:

TUTONIC, or 2TONIC (which is kinda funny because the car actually is over 2 tons... Eight characters would allow TEUTONIC.

I like V8NFRNO it's classy and suits your car. I tried for INFERNO but it was taken. Another witness to the fact that Inferno Red is the fastest colour. :razz:

Not sure if anyone posted this, cuz I just skipped to the last post. I gettin ready to hit the hay. But in a couple of days for mine I'm getting "SRTTIME". Thought it was clever and cool. My other option, for when I pass someone, and all they see is my license plate was "MABNXTM" as in maybe next time! Either one I thought was cool, but gotta go with "SRTTIME."

I wanted "BD AZ 4DR"
but they told me I would have to apply with the state because it could be considered vulgar.

You're nuts. That is way too much driving around Marylanders. That and I only commute 7 mile from Alexandria to SE DC and it more than I can handle. Straight shot down 295 but crossing the Wilson Bridge every morning and afternoon, coupled with traffic at a complete standstill on 295 in the afternoon just ruins it for me.

You're lucky. I've lived in NJ all my life and know to expect nothing better than 11 weeks after you fill out the confusing form & include a copy of your current registration. Who knows why you need to include a copy of your current registration since it comes from THEIR COMPUTERS! In fact 11 weeks was probably a big rushing inconvenience to them. :mad:

Yuck. Ours is as easy as it gets, AND Virginia has always had the most custom plates of any state. They will make any plate for you if you can get together 350 people for the minimum press. And we don't have any queer rules about having to buy new plates every 2 years and stuff. $10 a year personal message fee and that's it.
