Ordered a 6-halo kit for my Charger 3 weeks ago, paid, AAC keep telling me they have no stock to ship out. Getting tired of excuses. Deal was through E-Bay, will be opening dispute.
Anyone else having similar issues?

No similar issues as I don't have halos or HIDs yet. I just wanted to say that sucks and I hope you get it all worked out soon.

Had the exact opposite experience. I accidentally paid for extra halos I didn't want but fortunately someone accidentally forgot to pack them. I called them up and they refunded me the money based solely on my word. No hassle at all.

I ordered interior bulb replacements from them and had zero issues. Sorry your having problems. Good luck and keep us posted.

Maybe, but if they are out of stock for whatever reason then they should not be saying they have 16 items available on an e-bay listing.
It is very bad practice to sell stuff you do not have in stock.
If they had said "well we have no stock right now, but when we get some, we will then charge you", that's fine.
And I know I'll get a lot of replies saying they are good, that's what i expected myself, but have not received so far. Just trying to test the waters and see if anyone else is having problems right at this moment.

Curious, was it that Blue Demon Halo set that was selling by AAC on eBay a few weeks ago for $99?

First have you tried calling them?
second have you seen the post where they had a bad batch of halos from the group buy? AAC took all those halos they had left in the shop and tossed them.
they have been restocking and shipping out.

No it was a 6k white triple ring set

I have not called them, as we have been exchanging e-mails. I did not say they were non-responsive, just that the answers I WAS getting were not satisfactory
As for a "bad batch of halos", AAC have not mentioned this. I appreciate you providing the info, but it really should be AAC, the vendor, who gives me the straight goods. I use the forum a lot, but cannot stay up-to-date on every thread.
When I enter into a contract with a vendor by giving them money in return for goods and services, I expect them to keep me apprised of any issues. Seems simple and reasonable to me.
Thanks for all the feedback so far.

Very well, I will call Thursday and report back. Until then I'll put this thread on hold.
Well, actually, I can't do that as I am just a humble forum member, not a Super-Power-Uber-Alles moderator. (man it felt good just saying that!:D)
So we'll likely gather a few more posts..

ACC is a good vendor - I'm 100% sure they will get things sorted out.

What ever AAC's issues are they need to be honest. Listing 16 available when they are out of stock is not honest. An eBay listing CAN be pulled or changed.

i agree that selling something on ebay that you do not have in stock is bad business especially when you charge someone. billet technology does not charge you until the item is shipped and i appreciate that but to open a dispute without trying to resolve the issue over the phone is not fair to the business.
i bought 3 ring halos for my headlamps, fog light halos, tail light halos, and hids for my fogs and AAC made good on the entire order as they promissed. definitely call and reach out for them before you write them off completely.

Found it.
Justin posted this on the dfwlx.com club site in his vendor forum
Guys, there were ,unfortunately, some issues with some of the rings in the last batch of halos (the GB batch). We have actually cleared out that entire stock and brought in all new inventory which was subjected to a 72 hour burn in period and only 1 out of 1000 failed and was removed from the batch. It looks like there was a problem with the temperature at which the apparatus that seals the ends of the rings was operating that caused some of the rings to have a slow gas leak. Since it was near impossible to find the exact rings that were affected we dumped them all.
Again, problem has been assessed, problem has been fixed, these rings will live for at least 50,000 hours guaranteed!

I'm sorry no one from AAC responded to this sooner. I personally don't have much time during the day to keep on top of every threat about us. We did have a short back-order on Charger Halos. We did not want to send out any products that were less than perfection to our customers, so we had to restock our shelves with a new batch of halos.
I'm very sorry for the delay. All back ordered items were shipped early this week. Although Mecha does have the right idea here..... CALL US!!!! We would be happy to fill you in on any details regarding your order.
