I have been talking a bit with a few guys around then end of another thread i started (http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83633&page=2) and wanted to get a little more in depth so i can make the correct decision.

I have a Kenwood DDX-512 aftermarket deck (RMS 22x4) That is running my current 4 6x9 stock in my SE with my decks crossover cutting out all the Bass due to me already having an amp and 10" Kicker in the trunk so keep in mind i will not being looking for any bass from these new speakers. .....

I am just looking for a good pair of something to go in the door to give me crisper more clean sounding mids and highs (the stock 6x9's are horrible and sound muffled).
I am wanting to upgrade all 4 speakers but am looking at doing just the front door ones first.

I will not be adding any amp on these speakers, i know you will be temped to suggest that i should get an amp but that's not what I'm looking for, i am looking for answers and suggestion to my specific questions and current set up.

I started off with new 6x9's, from what i see and what i hear getting a component set up is the way to go but i have also considered this is not gonna be any kind of competition set up or bragging type system, so i was thinking of just going with 6.5's 3-way Kenwoods with bass blockers with the 6x9 to 5.5 adapter in the doors. But know i found a descent priced Alpine component set up i am looking at also and i don't know what to do or how to it.

Here are the ones I'm looking at so far:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-eFd2Vh03f78/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?i=500SPS600C&s=0&cc=01 - I can use this bracket to make both fit - http://www.crutchfield.com/S-GjYrYazZEBu/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?i=142SA69&s=0&cc=01
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8695879&type=product&id=1198888991061
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8699429&type=product&id=1199494646605 = For the back deck possibly if i end up getting the alpine component set-up
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8208245&type=product&id=1165610937789

ALPINE Details Page: http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/series-c.php?category=SPKR

ALSO: I ordered these 6x9" to 6.5" adapters instead of the cheap ones you get from say crutchfield (the Scosche brand) that from the reviews arent any good.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/6x9-to-6-Speaker-Adapter-Plates-06-07-Dodge-Charger_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742Q2em153Q2el 1262QQcategoryZ38646QQihZ021QQitemZ310050188233
I think these will work better, have a better fit, and be a bit sturdier to hold the speaker that the cheapy plastic ones.

I am trying to keep it at around $70 to $100 bucks but would be willing to possibly explore the $120 or so if its a HUGE difference in sound for the extra few bucks.

If i get the non component i am going to get the bass blockers but with the component it has the built in crossover so i don't think I'll need it.

Also for my deck am i looking to get 2 ohm or 4 ohm speakers (I have a Kenwood DDX-512 Model)

I am wanting to do this right the first time but please remember i am just wanting to run these off the deck and not an amp so please suggest whats the correct route for me running off the aftermarket Kenwood deck.

I know there are other questions i have but this is the bulk of it so far.

Thanks for all your help you guys can give me on this!!! :bigthumb:

I would go with the Alpines. I think that that will give you what you are looking for, let me know how those plates look when you actually get them.

I am looking to purchase new speakers for my door and i will be running them off my aftermarket Kenwood DDX-512 with 22x4 RMS

I am wanting to know whats the best way to go.... i have subs already in trunk so i will not be wanting any bass.

I dont think 6x9"s are the way to go for what i'm looking for correct?

These are what i'm looking at:
Component: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8699438&type=product&id=1199494646675

6.5" 2 way: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8699429&type=product&id=1199494646605

I have purchased the 6x9" to 6.5" adapters already and am wanting to know what i should do. I dont want expensive stuff i'm just looking for better sound and am not wanting to put an amp in for these speakers at all (FYI).

What should i do?

I am getting new speakers for my Charger and i am going with Infinity Kappa's 6.5" in front and 6x9" in the back.

I am know stuck at what to go with... 2-way or 3-way speakers?

Wanting to get a poll on this and also get your comments on why you think it should be one way or the other.

Thanks for the help! :rocker:

If you are cutting out the bass to your speakers, a two way will do the job, as you will be sending only mids and highs. Three ways would be better suited if you were trying to geta full range of sound from your speakers.
