Not much. Alarms and locks keep honest people honest. If someone wants your car it's theirs. Get a LoJack if you want to be able to track it down once it's gone.

not true, the chip in the key makes our cars pretty much impossible to steal without the key or a flatbed. So you statement is somewhat true, if someone wants your car and has a key to it or a flatbed(and time to get it loaded) then it's theirs

I have the same and was told it was a "solid" alarm from the dealer. That was BS. It will lock the doors and let you know by a "toot" of the horn but that's it. It has to be literally picked up and shaken before the alarm really goes off. I was broken into 2 months after I bought mine thinking it was OK but nothing went off. I went right away and bought a Viper alarm system and have been very satisfied. There are other alarms out there too, but whatever you get have a certified installer put it in for you and register the alarm. Trust me I have peace of mind now. Good luck. :locked:

Fine but the CD player, rims or any other valuables with the car are fair game.

While my car was in the dealers repair shop I observed no less than 10 chargers being fixed there becuase of broken windows or punched locks to get inside. The rep there told me others were towed or taken by a rollback because the key does not allow for a start of the vehicle. Go figure.

I have a 2007 R/T and if i use my remote to lock my doors prior to closing the door, it will arm the car and if someone breaks the window and opens the door the horn sounds and the head lights wig wag as do the rear break lights... it all goes ape SH*T and cause racket... Thats what my car does anywho.
