I have a Kenwood DDX-512 that has a built in crossover for the subs in rear and for the front and rear speakers.

If i am replacing my speakers all the way around with 6.5" Alpines do i need to add bass blockers?

I have subs in trunk already so all i'm looking for in these speakers know is mids and highs.

Someone recommended bass blockers on these since i have subs already but if i have a built in crossover in my deck that i can pick all kinds of levels do i really need these?

And i was also told bass blockers would bring down the rms rating of speakers and it would be better to have lower rms needs since i will be running these off the deck.... is this also true and if so should i get them even if i do have the built crossover already?

Thanks for all your help !!!

I think you should be fine without the bass blockers since you can tune your speakers to not have bass with the crossover.
