Does the mopar use the factory key or do you get a seperate fob? How is the range on it compared to aftermarket ones?

On my 08 I got 2 new key fobs with 5 buttons; lock, unlock, panic, trunk release and the start button which needs to be pressed twice for the engine to start.:rocker:

mr smith it uses factory fobs without needing t ocut a third key like some aftermarket crappier designed ones. Range is that of your normal key. I seem to find its better than most aftermarket stock. the dei's we install utilize the factory key too. Use just lock the car twice, it sees that door lock voltage and goes into action

Compustar. It's part of the security system. Pretty cool actually. You can set a timer to start your car in the morning. It also has a cold setting that will run you car when it drop below a certain temperature.

Self installed Mopar, I've installed 8 remote starters in various vehicles, the only reason I went with the Mopar was ease of installation, it has a serious lack of features but it's a breeze to install.

I ended up with the Clifford Matrix 50.5 with extended range (apprx 1 mile). I wanted something that will remote start from inside a building, like the local grocery store, hospital or Walmart. The old "1/4 mile" range units (usually a whole lot shorter due to obstructions/interference) just don't cut it for us here in this hot state.
