I have some friends of friends who do high end custom car audio and are willing to design a sub enclosure for me. These guys are neither cheap, nor amateurs - they do Texas audiophile contests. I'm looking to gauge interst on sharing blueprints to help the community and cut down on my personal cost.
1) Are there any existing DIY enclosure blueprints for the charger?
if not,
2) Would you pay for a VERY VERY nice & detailed DIY sub enclosure blueprint & wiring guide?
3) What setup are people most interested in, as this will be designed by audio experts and I can only afford to get one design done? I'll assume most people want a dual setup but what size subs? One big enclosure or individual enclosures that fig snug in the corners?

Firstly, If these guys are your freinds why would you sell their hard work and deny them the future customers to off set your own cost?
secondly, box designs are VERY specfic to your subs. They would have to have the EXACT same equipment that you are going to run (not all subs are created equil) and diffrent subs require diffrent air space..

They are 100% getting a share of any money brought in - they are car audio enthusiasts, not a company. I thought there would be some interest but I don't think there is much out there.
I was leaning towards a standard blueprint for the enclosure to match with a favorite sub so non-audio folks (like me) could buy the enclosure blueprints and the material list, including the specific sub. No science/calculations required.

yurp, thats why generic sub boxes suck so badly.

I'm saying - we should find a sub that most people can like and engineer the enclosure specifically for it and group it all together as a kit. Wont appeal to everyone but I think non-audio experts and people who have never made an enclosure before might like it.

I understand you need help...
what are your goals with your system.
Im really not feeling this idea, tastes/ideas/opinions are like butt holes.....
Im sure theres pleanty of us here than can help you get your goals accomplished with no cost to you (if you plan to put in the labor your self). Theres millions of wiring tutorials on the net, and theres even pleanty about Chargers alone here.
If you plan to build the enclosure your self, myself or others can easily get you something designed. I myself can easily give you a 'cut' sheet as well, to take all the nonsense fromy our build. As long as youre handy with a drill or nail gun, this really isnt a problem.

Well I'm getting two enclosures custom made - will be individual 12in sub enclosures that sit in the rear corners of the trunk and are ported. Will be designed around JBL Grand Touring GTO1214D subs. Blueprints will be availiable in a few weeks - message if you want em.
