Audio Question - AVIC-D3?

I installed the stereo a while back and like it for the most part. Just one thing, every once and a while when I start the car and the stereo boots up no sound comes out. I have to shut the ignition off and restart the car and it works fine. It happens maybe about once every 10 starts or so. Is this a wiring problem or something with the unit? Any ideas?

do you know which OEM intergration piece was used? there have been a rash of problems with the metra chto piece; this is one of them. quite a few people have had this same problem.

Yes, I used the metra interface harness.
