Hey guys,
I was hoping one of you could help me get to the bottom of this. I will be picking up a shiney TorRed *07* Charger on Thursday. I'm very excited about the car, but the head unit is bleh. I originally wanted a MyGig system, but for the steal I got on the car I can't be a chooser ;) So I want to upgrade to something a little more sexy, and I figure something along the lines of the Knewood DNX5120 or Kenwood DDX512 would be perfect.

My real question is, will this unit fit in the car? On Crutchfield they have a program that tells you if the unit is or isnt compatible with your car. For whatever reason, the fullsize (7") units all say incompatible, and it points me towards the units with a slide out screen. Can anyone give me some insight on this? Will it work in my 07? Is the 07 set up any different than the 08 set up?

Thanks in advance!

Does the charger you're buying have a single disc cd player? Mine does. I had to buy a new bezel ($90) and an install kit ($20). Mine (Kenwood DNX5120 Deck) should be installed tomorrow or Wednesday.

It will fit as long as you have the Navigation bezel.

Will the navagiation bezel fit on the 6 disc stock head unit?

The Nav bezel is designed to be used with in dash navigation units. You probably could use it on the factory 6 disc unit but it would look weird.

I agree. I would only get the bezel if I was getting a nav unit. I was just curious how it fit over the a/c controls.

I assume these bezels are available aftermarket? If so, can anyone supply with a link by chance?

Oh, and thanks a ton for the replys!

I couldnt find any aftermarket. I ordered mine from Mopar Supercenter (vendor) and had to wait a bit, as they were on backorder.

Mine has a carbon fiber overlay, but they're usually silver.

I have a DDX-512 in mine and yes either the DNX or DDX will fit....and also mostly all 7" screens will fit also (i havent seen one yet that doesnt)

You will need the navigation bezel, and wiring harness (be sure to get the correct one it cant be the cheapies it will be about 60+bucks), a double din dash kit, and an antenna adapter.

All of this can be purchased from crutchfield or any online dealer, i purchased all my stuff from sonicelectronixs.com, they had the cheapest price all the way around and a very good extended warranty for cheap through service master.

It is all very easy to install after you get all this equipment i put all my stuff in about 2 hours.

Any more questions feel free to let me know i will help you in anyway i can with your parts and install.

Good luck to you.
