The next SRT Engineering chat session is scheduled for tomorrow (2/15/06), the session runs from 6 to 8pm EST and will be conducted in the following section: http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=66

We think it will be an exciting session with the Dodge Charger SRT8 (http://www.chargerforums.com) finally hitting the streets, and the recent announcement of the Dodge Caliber SRT4 (http://www.caliberforums.com). Both vehicles will be fair game for discussion, however there will be no questions answered regarding the Dodge Challenger (http://www.challengertalk.com) concept.

In addition, since the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 (http://www.cherokeesrt8.com) is a reality and moving swifly off dealer lots, we have a new website dedicated to that vehicle as well, here:

Be sure to stop in and register and say hi!

GLHS, are you going to use the questions on our brainstorming Q&A thread?

I'm confused on the date. Is it going to be on 2/14 or 2/15?

Also, what is the etiquette for submitting questions?

Thread updated, 2/15/06 -- as far as questions, it's a live session so its a bit of a free for all. The rules are dont ask about unannounced products (ala, challenger) or repeat questions.

My post has been ready to go for two sessions now but I kept missing the boat.. Can we just pre-post questions for evaluation?

No, we cannot, lets revisit that and each take a couple. And to add to Ekools warning about future products. Some other things that you can ask, but historically they wont touch, except to say its a bad idea. TEchnical details whose only pupose is to mod.

"How much boost can I run?" (They wont say)

"When are you going to open up the PCM to tuners" (They will say never)

"Are you going to release a Mopar Performance PCM" (Future product, forbidden territory.)

And for the 5.7 folks, you can ask, but they might not answer non-SRT questions. And I have asked about getting some of the non-SRT engineers, and was told they are not interested.

Also, getting mad and calling names becuse they wont or cat answer your question. Okay, you can get mad, but dont get belligerent. These guys have very cool jobs they will NOT risk for you. Remember, this level of intereaction between the makers of a specialty car and the regular owners is unprecendented.

Also, do NOT expect them to diagnose something wrong with your car over the net, theres too many variables.

Lastly, expect some participation by other SRT owners. We asked questions during the SRTforums and 300C sessions, they get the same courtesy.

A lot of this was covered in the linked thread, but I know a lot of folks wont bother to read that.

Do I need to install anything to participate in the chat?No Barrett, it operates like a normal discussion thread. Post your question and the team will quote and answer you.
