I was wondering if you could imprint the word "Airaid" on your setup any more than the five times I already see. I wasn't really sure who made this thing.

I was wondering if you could imprint the word "Airaid" on your setup any more than the five times I already see. I wasn't really sure who made this thing.
There are a couple of reasons for that.
The first is to identify that they are genuine AIRAID products.
The second reason the name is on the product so much is because of our "No-Hassle" Warranty.
We do not require any sales receipts from our customers to warranty part's. As long as it has the AIRAID name on it, then we can warranty the part's.
So as an example, if you sold your vehicle with the AIRAID on it, and then the new owner of the vehicle had an issue with something, even though he did not originally purchase the product, we will still stand behind it and warranty out the defective or damaged part's.
Any other questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
David

Hello bob1459,
We have not had any issues with our system rubbing the hood.
I had a Charger that I ran the system on for about 1 year and never had any issues with the hood rubbing.
Any other questions, please let me know.

David,
Is their any evidence that you can provide us, that the poweraid throttle body spacer is in fact a modification that gains these types of vehicles HP, or MPG increase without robbing the vehicle of HP? Maybe we can finally put to rest the majority of people on here that say throttle body spacers are a waste of money. (someobdy will put the picture up of a dollar swirling thru the poweraid, and it shredding. I guarantee it.) Then again maybe it could provide evidence that in deed there are no performance gains when installing the poweraid TB spacer. Any light shed on this subject would be greatly appreciated. I'm really not trying to cause a ruckus with this post I just really wanna put it to rest.
I am currently running the airaid cold air kit w scoop and am absolutely in love with it. no rubbing issues what so ever. thank you for a great product. Let me know if maybe i should create another post with specific subject as the headline. I just wanted to make sure I had your attention.

I too have the Airaid w/scoop. I too am amazed at how easy it was to install, w/no rubbing or other probs. I do however have 1 suggestion. It would be a lot easier to install if either A) the Allen-Head screws were replaced w/standard Phillips screws, or B)Include an Allen wrench w/the kit, for those that might not have one.

Hello Insidious_SRT,
The Poweraid Throttle Body Spacers are very affective at part throttle, where it is designed to improve your throttle response and efficiency. The results can of course vary depending on your driving habits and driving conditions. Most gains are realized with light throttle use, and less with a heavy foot...
The main “confusion” with the Poweraid Throttle body spacers are the benefits that you will gain with the spacer. If you’re looking to add the Poweraid Throttle Body Spacer to improve your peak HP or improve your ¼ miles times, then the addition of the Poweraid Spacer may end up in disappointment.
The Poweraid Throttle Body Spacers should be purchased with the expectations of improved throttle response, engine efficiency, and increased MPG.
We don’t do any type of MPG tests with the Poweraid Throttle body Spacers as everybody’s driving style and conditions will vary. Typical gains we hear from our Charger / Magnum / 300C customers are anywhere from 1-3 MPG with the Poweraid Throttle Body spacers. I personally own a 2006 SRT8 Charger ( Current Modifications : Airaid Intake w/Scoop & Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust ) and about 3 months ago installed a Poweraid and have seen a solid 2 MPG gain with the Poweraid Throttle Body Spacer ( which has been nice with the recent gas prices )
Any other questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
David

David,
I appreciate the response. I think this will clear of some of the confusion, as I think the majority of us on chargerforums.com are looking for that high peak HP and low quarter mile times. But it is also nice to know that there is a product out there that will gain us some MPG while we are in this gasoline crisis these days.

I don't have any pics, but I had the poweraid installed on my vehicle. Poweraid was actually giving these things away free with the purchase of the CAI around last xmas. Some kind of mail in rebate thing. But to answer your other question of does this cause a whistling sound, yes. The swirling of the air thru your CAI causes it to give a slight whistle at or around about 26% throttle postion. That's about the only time you will hear it whistling. I actually liked it. But after dyno my car with the TB spacer installed and reading a couple threads on here, I was not impressed with the numbers my car put down, so I removed it. Because of it I gained 22 HP. However, the conditions were different, same dyno tho.

Hello Insidious_SRT,
Being the owner of a SRT8 myself, I totally understand about the HP & 1/4mile times.

Hello charger08srt,
Here is a picture with the spacer installed.
The Spacer does whistle, but it is not very noticable on the Charger. It only comes in at a few throttle positions.

It's kinda hard to tell in this pic, but I have the TB Spacer installed. Have had it installed for a while now. I did not notice any seat of the pants HP drop after instal. I think I did gain about 22 CFP (That's Cool Factor Points) cause it matches my BT Catch Can.............................

lol, I like the CFP. Yes, I actually did gain HP by removing the spacer. Kinda like what David said "The main “confusion” with the Poweraid Throttle body spacers are the benefits that you will gain with the spacer. If you’re looking to add the Poweraid Throttle Body Spacer to improve your peak HP or improve your ¼ miles times, then the addition of the Poweraid Spacer may end up in disappointment."
I am fortunate enough to have a friend that owns a dynojet, only problem is his shop is an hour drive from me, and located in the high desert. After going home with my dyno numbers that did not seem impressive to me, and then getting on here and reading some other threads I decided to remove my spacer. After doing so I went back to my friends shop and ran it three more times, and there was an increase of 22 HP. However, my comparisons are not 100% exact. It was the same dyno, but the next day was a little cooler, my car sat a while before being ran. I only did 3 runs, as I was finally satisfied with my numbers.

Pondering the question of...
Has any dyno work or other measurements been done comparing this CAI with the one that mates up to the SRT hood to show what if any performance enhancements might exist between the two products?

Hello KCRTMOPAR,
The 350-199 & 350-193 ( Hood Scoop ) system Dyno the same. We have an in house Mustang Dyno, but the Dyno is not going to register any gains from the hood scoop.
The Hood scoop can come into play on a long trip when driving at a constant speed, and the hood scoop is also for aesthetics.
Any other questions, please let me know.

David
