What would be the cause of a dim halo?
Would it be a possible inverter problem? Wiring issue? One of my fog light halos is very dim. It was working this past week and I took the car out for pictures and noticed the driver side halo about half as bright as the other.
thanks for any replies

Just "wiggle" the inverters and wires, i did this to mine and it went right back to normal.
hope this helps.

I can give that a try as they were all working great.

Its usually caused by one of the pins in the clip not being snapped in all the way then backing out. It could also be if you added additional wire between the ring and the inverter (not counting the included extensions). Also, check to be sure that there is no water inside of the black connector. If this happens the power will find the path of least resistance and arc inside of the connector rather than giving full power to your halo.

Thanks Justin. I will check it out.

One of mine went out a day after I drive 3 hours in the rain. Then it was on dim, then after being in the sun all day yesterday it started working again. Thank God. I think it is from moisture.

You may want to tape up the connector so that does not happen to you again.

yes definitely put some electrical tape on the connector. an arc can cause a serious electrical fire which will damage your car. if you hear any type of hissing sound when the halos are on check all connections for any type of purple arc between the two plugs which go into your invertors. it will even smell like the beginnings of an electrical fire if you put your head down into the car to check the lines.

Are those clips available most anywhere? I do recall one that one pin would not snap into, and this might be that connector (I'm hoping).

Since I haven't had time to check the lights out yet, I showed a couple friends the lights yesterday and the bottom halo was bright again. I think it may be due to washing it, so I think maybe re-taping it with electrical tape may fix the issue.

Well I experienced some Dim effects on my Tail lights however I did extend my wires as well. It did return back to normal but I am confused, are you not suppose to extend your wires at all? Maybe I missed that in the do not do list. Anyone else have any answers?

Well ... I think I have it narrowed down to where the wiring exit the halo itself. Not sure I can fix it without breaking the halo.
Justin, what would a new fog halo cost to ship out?

I just phoned and talked to a Dan. He said the website has the means to order just another fog halo, but I don't see where you can order a single halo.
** seems to me it should be a warranty return, but the problem being is that the halo as per instructions is glued into the halo and trying to take it out would certainly break the halo ... thoughts??
