View Full Version : GROUP BUY: ORACLE Xenon Conversion Kits! (7 Forum Wide GB!)
AACstyle.com
07-02-2008, 09:24 PM
We are offering our ORACLE and ORACLE"XE" Xenon Conversion Kits (especially for LX applications) at DISCOUNTED GB Pricing. Forum members already receive very good discounts on our ORACLE Line of HID kits but here is an opportunity to really take advantage of group pricing.
RETAIL:$299 + Flicker Free Upgrade + Shipping
20-25: $229 + Shipping
26-35: $215 + Shipping
36-49: $199 + Shipping
50-65: $185 + Shipping
66+: $185 + FREE SHIPPING
The Last GB we had (Charger Halo GB) ended with over 140 people who participated, it will be EASY to hit these numbers for the HID kit because it applies to Chargers, Magnums, 300C, and 300 Base!
To make this even better we are advertising and letting members from 7 different LX specific forums join the GB!
Upgrading to the ORACLE XE 50W Kits will be $40 additional no matter if we get 20 or 200 members.
This is not the cheapest HID kit out there, if you are the type of person that only puts the cheapest products they can find then this GB is definitely not for you. You may want to go find one of the no-name, no-warranty (no REAL warranty at least) kits off eBay. These ORACLE HID kits are tried and true HIGH QUALITY kits with a LIFETIME WARRANTY, these lights will outlive your car GUARANTEED!
Our ballasts have recently been upgraded so that most LXs dont even need the wiring harness. The wiring harness does of course still come with the kits free of charge and also now features 60amp relays. As you can see we have gone through a great deal of time and research to make these kits the best they can be and we even have snazzy.

Remember, there are 7 forums participating so even if this thread is not jumping with activity there may be more intrest than you realize!

The XE50W is 30% brighter than any other HID kit on the market right now and its also compatible with the LC electrical system without any additional modifications.

It's just a matter of replacing bulbs and hiding the ballast. To make things easier, you don't have to remove the front fascia. Just make sure you secure everything so your ballasts won't be flying around. :D

This is probably a silly question; In the picture on the box, I see 7 separate eyes/lenses. - Is this how they will actually look on the Charger, or is this a picture of the kit when installed on a Lexus only?
I love that look! If I could get that same lense configuration, it would be soooo hot!!!:SM120:

Its really simple, even if you dont understand electronics. Take out the old bulb put in the new HID bulb / ballast.

I know for a fact I will not be able to get thru inspection with the xenon's, and thats one reason why I have been holding back. But, is it a big deal to put the other lights back in just for inspection purposes? What would be involved, just plugging the old bulb back in?
Also, how much extra would it be to add the fog light kit?

You can simple take the bulbs out in 2 seconds, unplug the factory harness from the ballast, plug the factory harness into your lights, and put your stock lights back in....id say about 2 min a side at most

Just a few simple questions for ya AAC...
1. Is this group buy specific to just the LX platforms? In other words can I get a friend in on this group buy, whom owns a TC?
2. I wanna buy highs, lows, and fogs. Will that be counted as three purchases? Do I have to leave 3 seperate deposits? Will the prices for all 3 be the same?

These Oracle HID kits, from AAC, rock. I have had the Oracle 35w 3K (yellow) fog HID kit from AAC, for awhile now. They work great, plug and play, no wire harness, no flickering. But for some time now I could not get the flickering to stop for the 35w 6K low beam set of HID's. I tried wire harnesses, etc. When I was recently at AAC's shop, for a commercial shoot. I told Justin of my frustration that I could not get the flickering to stop on the low beam set. He told me that Oracle now has 50w ballasts and he threw a set on and my low beam HID's fired up and not one more flicker and they have worked flawlessly since. I could yank out the wire harness now as the Oracle 50w 6K low beam HID's were truly plug and play....:rocker:
These are the set of 50w HID's that Justin used to fix my flickering problem. Thanks again AAC.
http://rwalshphoto.com/AACweb/WEB-9029.jpg
Now both my sets of Oracle HID's (low beam 6K and Fogs 3K) are fired up on the Bee and flicker free....

Ahh, didn't realize you were counting individual units sold. Thought it was the other way around as counting each persons deposit. In that case I have no doubt we won't reach 66+. My friend and I are getting 6 kits alone.
On another note AAC, I want to purchase the 50 watt HID's for my low beams. In your expertise what wattage do people usually purchase for fogs and high beams? Will 50 watt lows look good with 35 watt fogs on at the same time, providing that the color/temp is the same?

GB days are now numbered. Act fast. Leave 1 deposit for each set you plan on purchasing. Let's bump this already.
AAC, I take it the list that keeps on getting updated is all 7 forums combined. Correct?

If you do 2 deposits it counts as 2 people on the list, so it raises the number of participants by 2 :)
I'm still hoping to be able to get in on this group buy ... but I'd want 2 50w sets and that's over $500 no matter how I look at it ...

the only problem with paying 2 deposits is dont you get stuck paying 2 shipping charges? the way things are going I dont see them reaching 65+ or whatever the number is for free shipping, so if I do this im just going to do it on one order. I just did the math with the 25% off that they are running right now and for the 35W kit it came out to $219 shipped (thats with shipping to nj) per pair. Since this deal and the group buy deal end on the 31st i think im going to see which one is a better deal then sign up for that one.

They are exactly that HID kits. High Intensity Discharge bulbs. That is it. Nothing more, nothing less. No, the GB price does not include the halo rings like the bmws, nor does it included the projection style headlight housing you are referring too. It is only bulbs. You know how you can look at higher end luxury vehicles and their headlights are usually bright white, or sometimes u might be cruising on the road and see some headlights that are blue or white, whatever have you. That is exactly what this GB is all about, just bulbs and the digital ballasts to run them. There are adantages and some may say disadvantages to having HID's installed on your car. If this is the look that you are shooting for, then please by all means, leave a deposit with AAC and see for yourself what it is that you have been missing all these years. Hope this clears up any confussion you may be having. Take a look at all the pictures that have been posted in this thread to find out exactly what this GB is all about. If this is something you are interested in, you will need to purchase a set of bulbs for each beam setting you prefer. They offer many different sizes to fit our current applications for instance high beam (9005) low beams (9006) and fog lights (H10). I have no idea what you are referring to when you say 7 round lights like the kit box? Please be more specific and I might be able to shed some more light on this subject for ya.

LISTEN UP!
I just received an email from Tiffanie and as much as I hate to say it and as much as they have to live it they are stranded as we speak due to the hurricane out there in Louisiana.
It sounds like everyone is safe which is the most important thing.
The group buys are ending soon and if you have messages to them they are going to respond but right now they are trying to get to a hotel in which they will post the links ending the group buy and ensure you receive your order. Please be patient with AAC as they are an awesome company and are just "under the weather" if you will. Tiffanie said she will get on as soon as she can and get those links out so you can ful-fill your order and receive some HID's and anything else you might want from AAC.
If you have any questions in the mean-time, I would love to help :)

If one more person gets down on this group buy that would make them $199 a set. So figure $200 for the set, $40 for wanting 50w and on their site it says something like $12 dollars to be shipped, I tried a zip code on each coast, they were both the same amount. So figure $15 for shipping. Your looking at spending no more than $255.
The question is will shipping rates increase if one has ordered multiple sets?

Hello everyone good news! We were able to obtain credentials and get back in to New Orleans late yesterday. We actually just made it into the AAC warehouse and the only damage is a section of our roof is peeled back which dropped debris into one of the offices which we actually dont use anymore. Our parking lot flooded but no water got into our building. We do have power but none of our 220v is working yet (large ovens, compressors, generators) but we can get on the computers and have dial-up internet. All things considered we are in good shape.
I put a call out to all of our emplyoees that are currently scattered about the country to come back to work right away so we can try to get back to business.
Thanks to everyone for the prayers, we are glad to be home!
We may actually have a slightly different checkout process for the GB where you fill out a form, email it to us and we send you an invoice or you can call and pay over the phone.

FAQ - HID FAQ
4300K-10000K there is no additional fee, for 12000K-30000K and 3000K there is a $15 surcharge.
35w and 50w options:
The ORACLE Xe 50W HID kits are some of the brightest lights you can purcahse and still maintain accurate bulb goemetry and cut off line. The 35W kits are still excellent quality. To upgrade to the 50W ORACLE Xe kit there is a $40 charge. The 50 Watt Kits are only available in 6000K.
35w ORACLE Standard or Slim Ballasts:
The Slim ballasts are just that, small (about the size of a Credit Card). They are the same quality and durability as the standard ORACLE ballasts, just smaller. The other cool thing about the slim ballasts is that they come with built in IN-LINE capacitors so you do not need to worry about the relay capaitor. There is a $19 fee to upgrade from standard 35w ballasts to 35w Slim Ballasts.

Ok guys, we are ready to start the checkout process!
We reached a total of 40 participants which means you get the discounted pricing of just $199!
....
But BlackChargerRT paid too so we have 41, right ? ;)
(just looking out for the man since I seem to have had something to do with his decision to buy :))
Well Gabe, you made me push the button as well! I tried to place the deposit and next thing you know it let me pay for it. Come to find out I still had some money in my paypal I didn't know about and got to use it all up!!!!
Guess Im going to start killing little people as well
Guess Im # 41 on the group buy!
To AAC staff:
I cannot have anything shipped to my confirmed address (my appt), as I have already had a set of HID's disappear from where the Post Office left the package ... I'm still thinking that a neighbor stole the package, which really sucked even though I didn't lose a lot of money because it was one of those cheap eBay kits.
However, since then I only have packages shipped to my work.
Or if you HAVE to ship to my home address, then it'll HAVE to be signature-required delivery only.
I simply don't wanna take the chance of losing this kit too. I'd go nuts. And it'd be a very short trip :)

Yeah, I don't know what to think anymore .... I bought the AAC kit thinking that I'm gonna be getting a very reliable, trouble-free system ... now I keep hearing all these flickering / shutting off issues ...
I haven't received my kit yet, but I did tell Tiffany in an e-mail to change my order from 50w to 35w hoping that I'd avoid whatever issues the 50w guys are having, but now I see issues even with the 35w kit ...
Any word from AAC on this ?

GABE you have a right to speak up even it comes in two weeks!! We all participated in a group buy expecting a trouble free system. not having to reverse polarity, use the harness, call them back, and now the kicker install a capacitator and while you're at it get a spare in case that one blows!! NOT good business... plus i am wondering if the 50w ballasts will stress out the 35w bulbs and shorten their life.. I (we) am waiting to hear from aac to see if they are 35w bulbs which i suspect they are. I hope everything goes well with your install not matter which set you get. use the harness, theres no plug and play...

they are NOT 35w bulbs..............way before this group buy began I already had the 50w kit in my hands.........one of my bulbs lost color so I upgraded to a 10k kit from my 8k kit and they sent me the new 50w kit by accident the same day they recieved it............the bulbs are 50w
only reason i didnt keep the 50w kit was the fact they were 6k

Ron, you plugged the kit in backwards. "Reversed Polarity" just means plug it into the ballast the correct way. Why are you telling people to use the harness or giving anyone installation advise at all?
Installation is not hard for this kit, if you cant figure it out just call us and speak to a tech 1(800)407-5776.

Justine is absolutely correct. I've had my Oracle 50W 6,000K HID's installed for almost two months now with no problems at all.
I've owned three other cars with factory HID headlights, (1999 BMW 740il, 2003 Cadillac Escalade, and 2005 Toyota Prius) and these HID's in my Charger from AACstyle are the very Best I've ever had, by far. The color is almost the same as natural sunlight.
Thanks again Justin for a Great product. :rocker:

yes justin you are correct! I am not the expert on HIDS but i had a reliable kit previously and installed once and that was it... ALSO judging by the other posts here i am not the only one who encountered flickering; one of your certified installers had the same problem on a plum charger. He is certified. If i was the only one then i am the dumbass.
I just take issue with your instructions. Again your drawing for plug and play states from the car to the ballast and its from the bulb to the ballast. I figured tht out after i called you.. also i did call and a tech Saturday and he said there would be two plugs unused coming from the bulbs for plug and play, when in fact it is the opposite. Also if the polarity can be reversed or if the plug has to be oriented a certain way i would rather that be on the instructions. i just plugged it in using the snap fit. ALSO the kicker is that correctly installed with the harness it still flickers!! your warranty states any modifcations to the components voids the warranty which is standard procedure for a warranty. Installing a capacitor technically voids the warranty. the flicker free warranty is in your advertisement for the group buy but not on the warranty papers... Obviously the kits react differently on different cars even though they are the same platform. Thats all i am asking Justin.. i certainly dont mean to demean your business but getting information afterwards means i have to go back and do it again and i hate doing that. Hopefully everyone else has 100% success with the kit but you cant deny the posts i have read. If i am wrong about the drawing describing plug and play please let me know specifically even if u hve to e-mail me outside of the forum... BUT if it wasnt for the other instruction i mentioned i would still be without any HIDS...

thanks for the posts Justin. i read these a long time ago thats why i went with aac. I even defended your price to other owners cause i expected plug and play without flicker. BUT again (and i dont want to post other threads here) but others have had the same problem.. If they dont fire i can see that being an install problem.. when they do fire and get flicker is that an install problem or operator error. If i am doing something incorrect to cause flickering please let me know. I'm sure others with recent problems would be gald to know also..

good to hear but i have read in this forum and the chargerz forum plug and play is much, much less problematic with fogs. seems to be easier with other kits also. again, this is what i have read, i am not the expert. i plan to get hid fogs also to complete the light pattern...

backwards... a simple note on the instructions stating this would have cured at least some headaches and allowed the kit to operate, flickering or not... i have read warnings on other mfgs. sites re: chargers if you order their product. I think thats important to know for plug and play operation...

i just put the cap.in and no flickering at last! 6000k is optimal light performance! roadburners! i readjusted the lights down a liltle bit even though no one seemed to be bothered before they were lowered. I would like to try plug and play but tucked one ballast inside pretty good in front of the air filter and i dont want to go back and mess with it. I love the high light output.
Now for the fogs; how much are the aac fogs? 6000k to match would be nice but a lower temp would be more efficient for road illumination under inclement weather...
