Hey y'all--

I need to go ahead and order this CAI, but I need someone on the Peninsula to install it. Pomoco quoted me $300, and I'm just too dang cheap for that. Any reputable suggestions?

i just put my afe 2 on my 5.7 and it was really easy because it doesn't have a lot of different parts to put together... you should be able to do it yourself

x2... if you can put together a puzzle... you can do this... if you're worried about removing the IAT sensor, just purchase an extra one from your dealer for 28 bucks and then you won't have to go through the hassle of trying to remove the stock one from the stock tube, which seems to be the biggest problem for most

yeah the IAT sensor is a pain to get out...other than that it would take you a whopping 10mins to do.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!:D:D:D

There's a wealth of people from the hampton roads on this forum who would be more then willing to help you install the afe.. We would much rather help you then let you spend 300 dollars for a 20 minute job..

You guys are a mess!! Another member told me I could do it myself, but I just wasn't sure. What I am sure of is that I don't wanna give the dealer $300 to do it. That just seems a little much for something y'all tell me is so easy.

I'm pretty good with tools--I'm the official "put it together person for the house" and I've done all sorts of things to my cars over the years (changed tires, changed the oil, installed thermostats, changed the spark plugs, etc.), but I haven't done anything to the Charger other than install her vinyl and put in my K&N drop in.

I really appreciate the offers to help. Since Craig is in my area, I'm gonna take him up on his offer to help me do it. I was really only looking for a recommendation for a shop to do it, but this is even better.

Thanks y'all!!!

If you can change spark plugs, you can DEFINITELY do this! I've changed spark plugs in cars that were MUCH harder to do than installing my AFE was! No blood-loss required!

Changing plugs is normally pretty easy...until you change the ones on our V6. :dead:

Oh Oh the last time we saw Craig helping a lady out it was hilarious ( during a Dyno day at DTP) but we won't go into that... other than he did work very hard and diligently..... LOL
