Hi, welcome to the area. I'm in Hampton. I'm a new Charger owner just back from my 1st M&G at Bass Pro Shops in Hampton. I had a blast and plan on going back. From what I understand, it runs from 4:00 until 10:00 every Saturday, but folks usually show up around 6 or 7. I got there at 7:30 last night and it was pretty crowded. There were several Chargers there, and everybody was really cool.

JAsonWelcome to Virginia !! Sorry to hear about you car getting broken into. Hopefully, they didn't get much or hurt your car.

You the guy that was asking for directions to get to the Coast Guard base in Newport News a while back?

As for the M&G's, The Virginian-Pilot (newspaper) on Fridays is a good place to check out what's happening in the area. Usually it's in the Drive Section. Or you can get up with ChargerSxT, he's usually in the know of what's happening.

Welcome to the area, Jason. Where abouts from TX are you from? I'm a native Texan myself.

As SB said, I do try to organize GTGs. So far, we've only had 2 Dyno Days. I'm thinking about doing something else...maybe an all day cookout close to a beach somewhere.

Also, don't forget about the car show in July! Hope to see you there!

Hopefully, I'll be able to make it to BPS more in the future.

I was born in Pasadena (Houston area), grew up in Canyon (south of Amarillo), went to college in Lubbock, and was stationed in Ingleside for 22 months.

There's also a place down on this side that's been around for a while. They usually start out earlier. It's in Haygood Shopping Center. Everybody refers to it as Jenro's.

pretty bad we call it the north side or south side, makes us sound like we are in a diffrent world on the south end.

pretty bad we call it the north side or south side, makes us sound like we are in a different world on the south end.Didn't mean anything derogatory by calling the lower Hampton Roads area 'southside'. As quoted in Wikpedia: "The land area includes dozens of cities, counties and towns on the Virginia Peninsula (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_Peninsula) and in South Hampton Roads (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Hampton_Roads)." Since I don't live on the Peninsula, therefore, I must live in the Southside.

Just yanking your chain, Bro.

Seriously, though, hope you didn't take offense to it. That's what it's been called for the last 39 years that I recall.

As for those of us living out in the "country" where we have to deal with raccoons, rabbits, foxes, big turtles, deers and an occasional Black bear running across the our patch of the state freeway 58.

I have friends and family who live in the "country". LOL

And yeah, the other side of the HRBT has always been called the southside--at least for my 43 years here.

Stuff on the other side of the JRB is "across the bridge".

I've been here on the southside since 1970, compliments of Uncle Sam. You can't beat the weather. If you don't like it, wait a half hour it'll change.
