Ok, simple question, which oil to use in our Chargers, Synthetic (Mobil-1, AmsOil, etc) or good old Dino oil (Penz, Quaker, castrol)

Give reasons for either.

What is your reasoning? Trying to save $$$ but I want to use Synth.

I use 6 quarts of royal purple in combination with a lucas oil additive. I get better gas mileage since I have made this switch, which is 4 oil changes ago. Also, I have noticed better gas mileage. I cant say if the oil is a direct reason or coincidence, but I do know the response in my vehicle is a ton better.

Synthetic can withstand the extreme & varying temperatures of your engine. Regular oil vaporizes . . .

I agree synthetic is 100% better. Yes it's more expensive but it equals out to be the about same in the course of a year 3 of synthetic every 5k mi vs 5 of the dino @3k mi thats if you only 15k in a year.

High quality synthetics will actually lengthen the life of the engine because their molecular structure is like a bubble.. and the standard has jagged edged molecules.. So I have been told.. My eyes aren't that good :)

Well my free oil changes cover the good old cheap stuff, so that's my choice, lol. I have all free maintenance til 36K and considering I've had her 2 years and am at 17K, I still have a few years left, lol.
