Good advice, that is....

I took a trip down the street to AutoZone this morning to check out something to clean the chrome exhaust tips and while I was there, I also checked out some of the waxes and polishes. I remembered what was said about the NXT here so I got a bottle.

I'd polished the car yesterday with Ice, but went over it again with the NXT. WOW! The Ice had put a nice shine on it, but the NXT enhanced it very well. It's like a mirror almost with a deep reflection. And for those of you wondering, it didn't seem to harm or discolor the vinyl, but mine is silver anyway so use caution.

I tried the NevR Dull on the exhaust tips. It kind of, sort of, cleaned them but they're still cruddy. I'm sure it's good stuff for light to medium cleaning but I need something more for mine I guess. Maybe I will try again tomorrow and se if I can improve it some.

i didnt like the nxt wax much.

also, neverdull needs to be buffed on VERY well, then buffed off VERY well. if you spend 20 seconds working it in, it wont have time to work up the grime. polishing metal is a PITA, so if it was easy then you did it wrong..

x2. used neverdull on all the chrome on my jag. takes forever to buff off. not something i'd want to do bent over trying to reach the exhaust tips lol

can anyone explain to me the difference between wax and polish?

i've got ice polish and nxt wax 2.0 sitting in my garage right now but i dont know which one does what and which one to apply first. never used polish before....

so polish first? then wax?

full process.. wash, claybar, wash, polish, wax? nething else?

your full process is pretty accurate. Polish will cut the bad surface and make the surface smooth and shiny and wax adds protection that can last for a duration of time

I use the Meguires 3 step, which is paint cleaner, then polish, then wax, in that order. 4 times a year. Machine buff her. you'll thank me. All 3 products are available at autozone. like 8 bucks each.

I have very bad experiences with claybars.

Inbetween waxes (every 3 months or so) I use the Meguires quikmist detailer after every wash, and once a month their NXT spray on wax. I have no complaints.

although all waxes will make any car look better.....i believe some waxes are better then others for various shades of color.....I know on the lime, ive had better results with other products then NXT

It was anything but easy. I spent at least 15 minutes on each side before even buffing it back off. It got most of the gunk, but not all of it by far. I'll go back and do some more, but this isn't an easy product to use by any means.

Um... NXT Generation Tech Wax is Meguiar's. And it came right off for me no problem. The stuff was amazing.

The outside of the tips cleaned up nicely. It's the inside rim that's the real problem and I can't get to clean up as nicely as I'd like. Right now it's raining so it will have to wait a day or two.

I found NXT does alright, but with my TB yellow, ICE worked wonders. Got deeper shine the hotter it got. I guess it depends on the color.

Yep. Ice is good stuff and you can put it on anytime, cool or hot.

So....., does that gal in your avatar Ice your Banana for you, or do you do it yourself?

full process.. wash, claybar, wash, polish, wax? nething else?

I throw a sealer in there myself: wash, clay, polish, sealer, wax

All meguiars products. I've had great results with that process.

I had "NummThumz" after using that NevR Dull. I had to quit for a bit. Still too rainy to work on it.

I used Eagle1 Nanowax on mine, seemed to work very well...has anyone with a Daytona/SuperBee used NXT Spray on their car? How well does it come off of the decals?

Hmm, didn't know there was an NXT wax spray, the only that I can think of is the Ultimate Detailer.

I used nano wax once last year and got the NXT wax, that stuff is by far the best on my brilliant black... it's put the best shine on that car than any other car wax i've ever used! i started using the spray nano wax as a cleaner for my bike after short rides. it's good stuff though and i love it. i used the liquid nano wax the other day that my dad had and it works good, nothing like the NXT though....

it can be a pain to get all the wax off, i find micro streaks of white for the first few days after use, but i mean it's worth it. the car looks gorgeous! NXT is meguires wax though......

I've only used the NXT speed detailer and the stuff is downright amazing. I have no clue why anyone would need to ever use a claybar with that stuff. I used the Meguiar's Gold Class Liquid wax about a montha go, applied a couple of coats took a couple of hours total time, looked great but there was still a little roughness if you rubbed your fingers across the surface hard like they show you pre-clay kits.

I did a recent washing and after the drying with the Absorber (which is another sick product) I applied the NXT speed detailer (based on the reccomendations here) and the product is downright incredible. Now when I rub my hand across an area it feels silky-smooth --- maybe i'm missing something but I don't see any reason for any clay bar now -- I can't possibly see the surface getting any smoother then that and I can't feel any grain of anything anywhere --- not to mention the car has a mirror shine even days after i've applied it --- awesome awesome product i'll be ordering 3 more and using my amazon Prime membership since none of my local autozones carry it currently.

Like the original post said, he applied it after Ice, multible coats will bring out a nice shine, I ice wax , and it even says you can spray the detail spray while wiping her down for big shine.

Whatever wax or ? you use ,try 2-3 coats, it really makes a difference!!

Thanks ,

Ron

I have an inferno red R/T and I used the clay bar on it. I found with my car it made it very smooth and I then used wax and all it does is shine shine shine. Not to mention that the paint is smoother than it was off the show room floor.

just bought a bottle of NXT yesterday after a fellow charger owner raved abou its quality, figured I'd try it out on my brothers black Pathfinder first :), looks awesome. Only problem I had was overspray wind would put on other parts of the car. There would always be areas with little white dots that I would have to redo. I was pretty satisfied though.
