Does anyone know if it's possible to add features to the 08 fob keys? I've got two empty buttons just sitting there waiting to have a purpose in life. It might be cool to add a remote relay to control something like e-cutouts or the windows :D

Also, does anyone know if it's possible to disable that stupid panic button or at least make it a double press? Stuff in my pockets keeps setting it off and I think my friends would make fun of me if I got a purse to keep all my stuff in:tongue:

on the dodge web site it said that one of the features on the new fob key will roll down all the windows like the bmws do, but no feed back from my dealer

I don't know why that isn't standard on our cars. My buddy has a stock 06 Accord and he has remote window control. When I first bought it, I was telling him about all the cool sh** my car has and he says, "Oh yeah, can it do this?" He hits a button on his key and all his windows roll down. I looked down at my key... :plain: ... ... "No..." That SOB! LOL

I hate having those open spots on the key fob when it could be doing more stuff. I never use my AC and I always roll the windows down.

This window issue has been brought up many times, and we have NEVER been able to figure out how to do it. I personally spoke with my service manager and one of their super techs that is all about the electronics on our car. He looked through all their tech information and couldn't find anything about it, and said it was a mistake on the Dodge website. (Could also maybe be a late year build only option). Someone else on the forum also contacted Dodge directly, and they weren't able to give any information about it either.

Anyway, as to the op, yes, you can add additional stuff to your keyfob such as an alarm through your dealer.

Sweet, that's all I needed to know. The dealer I called here in town was clueless. Maybe I'll call the next town over and see if they know what I'm talking about.

I think the windows should be able to be operated by a remote relay. Unless they are wired through some ridiculous control module, which they probably are :smoke:I hope I don't have to buy some "Dodge OEM" relay from the dealer to get it to work with the fob. I doubt it would be worth it then.

There are several alarms which include the window roll down feature, and they do work. It just isn't a factory thing on our cars as advertised... Not yet anyway.
