Are these the right steps to take or am i missing something?
1. Wash
2. Clay Bar
3.Polish
4.Wax
5.Sealant

Should I add a cleaner wax or swirl remover step in there also?

And also if anyone knows if the Turtle Wax ICE liquid clay bar is any good?

you should wash again after claying

and go with an actual clay bar not the liquid clay stuff

Thats what i thought. It doesnt seem like it would be as good as an actual clay bar. Should I use a cleaner wax or swirl remover after the clay bar?

You forgot step 2.5 (wash/rinse). Also, wax should go on top of sealant. Paint sealant won't adhere correctly to paint that's been waxed.

I used the Liquid Clay Bar last year and it worked fine for me. I haven't used a regular clay bar so I can't compare it for you though.

Same here. I got a nasty mark on the hood due to some junk flying out of a truck that passed me and the liquid clay bar took it right off. Good as new.

If you use Adam's Polish you dont need the shade. You still might want the cigars though

Use Adam's Polishes. There is no better. I just did my car, and it looks better than the day I picked it up. The shine is over the top. It's also worth the investment to buy a Porter Cable #7424 polisher. Give Adam's a call and they will get you started.

Do dealerships detail?

they probably do, but the will also charge an arm and leg, damage your paint, and do a piss poor job

So where is a good place to get a good exterior/interior detail?

Why are you washing the car again after claying it

To get any residue from the claybar off. Also depending on which bar you use some say to use carwash soap as a lubricant, some give you detail spray. It's good to get all that stuff off the paint before you put any wax/sealant down to promote good adhesion of the product to the paint.

I used it on my Jeep GC when I had it (pearl white) and it worked great. Went from dull white back to shiny white.

Still haven't used the clay bar on the charger, but the more I hear about Adams the more I want to try them out.

I used meguiars on my black jeep grand cherokee as well. The paint was in piss poor condition and it worked great! As for my car I have a bunch of Adams products on the way so we'll see how that goes.

I've used the Meguiar's clay kit also. No complaints, especially because you can get it at almost any auto parts store...

always buy an extra bar, because if the 1st hits the ground, throw it away..:beer_yum:
