u-connect bluetooth phone question

so when I dial from my phone, I get no dial tone on the uconnect. It only connects after the second hello. I have an iphone, but I've tried it with multiple phones.... : (

I'm having the same issue. My phone connects to the system perfectly. I can hear the incoming call in my car speakers and see the caller id etc., however, when I speak, they caller can't hear me.

Same here... ring and pickup are loud and clear. The other party hears me just fine also. (unless the window is open)

Edit to add: I was just going through the manual, I found out why this is happening to you:

Page 105:

"NOTE: Certain brands of mobile phones do not send the dial ring to the UConnect system to play it on the vehicle audio system, so you will not hear it. Under this situation, after successfully dialing a number the user may feel that the call did not go through even though the call is in progress. Once your call is answered, you will hear the audio."

I have a Blackberry Pearl and a T-Mobile Shadow...I can hear the caller but the caller can't hear me....is there any setup step I may have overlooked?

My Treo 700 works fine with the UConnect other than it has a tendency of actually shutting off my phone when the car turns off every so often.

Sorry, no help here. My Razr and hubby's Motorola V557 works fine - our car has even stolen my conversation a couple times, when I'm in the driveway on my phone, and hubby pulls up from work - all of a sudden I can't hear a thing, and he's getting whoever I was talking to nattering in the car! :D

I have no problem with the Uconnect and I have a Razr V9M. The only gripe i have with the UConnect is that it doesnt import your phone book from the phone and the caller id is the number and not the persons name that was programmed

My uconnect every once and a while just hangs up. Some days, I can have hour long conversations. Other days, I can't stay on the phone longer than 59 seconds. Really annoying. . .

Are you serious? That drives me nuts because i dont know who it is thats calling me i have to answer it, half the time id rather not want to talk to the person so im screwed

I have the same prob with iPhone. It was the 2.0 update. Should be fixed on the next software upgrade. All Uconnect brands are having trouble. It is a major apple bug. The update will be sometime this month. I'm thinking this weekend or Monday cuz Best Buy is selling iPhone on 9/7. Can't have all the bugs then.

i also have a gen 1 iphone that sometimes connects and sometimes doesn't. it is aggrivating. i hope there is a fix soon.

I had the v3xx and now have an iPhone 3G (2.1 frm) and both operate the same. The Uconnect doesn't pick up when dialing from the phone until the person on the other end of the line is on. I have learned to watch the nav unit to tell me when it is connected and then say "Wasssup!"

If I use Uconnect to call from my Uconnect phonebook or to dial the number, then I get the ringing before connection.
