trying to get trunk to stop rattling ....

what is the best thing any of you out there done to stop the rattling of the trunk due to their subs.... i have 2 12s and the rattling of the thrunk is bad...... please help me .....

do u have a folding console on ur rear seat?? if so get it ported through that, if not get it ported thru the back deck.. do u have dynomat, b quiet or anything like that?

Dynomat is your friend. I have 2 12's in my car, not a charger, but I dynomat'd the entire trunk, and no rattles what so ever. I heard it before I did it, and i'm sure others around me would hear the rattle coming from the trunk. Takes away the ooo's an ahhh's when folks hear ya music down the road, and not the rattle.

when someone rolls up their window while driving next to them, sure gets a good laugh from me. If it is too loud, ya too old! plus, I just really think to truly enjoy music, you should feel it too. but that is my opinion :)

I have dynomat and it didnt stop all the rattle but it sure sure sure did make a hell of a difference

Is it better to do the whole trunk or just the lid? I am looking at doing it soon and I have been told different things about the chargers.

The more you do the better...just depends how crazy you wanna get with it and how much money you wanna spend...and like bosshogg said it wont stop all the rattle...i know people with 7 layers on the trunk lid and it still rattles but it does sound better

Would it also help to put some auto carpeting on the lid with the dynamat, or would it just make it a lot better looking but not really have any effect on sound

i agree with str33... dynomat the hell out of it and port in to the cab. the trunks are sealed so tight dynomat wont do it all, that air has to get out somewhere.
