View Full Version : Did my first detail today...

Let me first say that I am from the old school of wash and wax. Having said that I spent 3 hrs today on my 07 R/T using the info I got here and what a difference. Spent about 55.00 at walmart for the stuff (had some carwash soap home) and the results were great.

Here are the steps I took:
1) Rinse car and wash with Castrol Super Car Wash
2) Ice Total Interior car
3) Black Majic Tire Wet
4) Turtle Wax Bug & Tar Remove
5) Never-Dull Wadding Polish on tips
6) Meguires Smooth Surface Clay Bar Kit
7) Meguires NXT Tech Wax 2.0
8) Buff with orbital buffer

That looks pretty sharp man. Always a great sigh of success when you can see yourself when you are done.

Looks great.....beware the orbital though...you wouldn't want to swirl or burn the paint...;)

I used it at the end after removing the wax by hand and used light pressure with a lambs wool boot.

Not crazy about it. Will finish the bottle and then try something else.
