There is a liquid clear wax that Meguires makes that I got given as a gift that I don't like AT ALL, but it can go over plastic w/o an issue. The real question should be why are you waxing the plastic stuff??? I still give my wife a hard time for waxing her Civic (now my daily driver) and her windshield washer fluid squirters are solid white and were actually so gobbed up with wax nothing came out.

when i was in HS i worked for a detailer and he used this 3m stuff, i cant remember the name or what the container looked like. it was a paste and it was real light and made the plastic crap shine is butt off, i used it on the windows too.
it never gunked up, or was hard to remove, it looked great. was very fine and light, not like white slopy type of wax your thinking of.

Zaino leaves no white residue  oh yeah... Zaino forever...
I'd probably check in with the Adams supporting vendor, also. I hear it is equivalent to Zaino in most, if not all ways.

heard a lot about ice for a cheap and easy wax, and for high end, zymol ( the real deal, not the cleaner wax you find at autoparts store). I know zymol protects anything as well as not leaving marks on anything. I used to do the window rubbers and everything and it kept it from turning your wash rag black on older cars.

Zaino leaves no white residue  oh yeah... Zaino forever. That's my vote! I'm in the process of putting my spring coats on right now. It last longer than anything I've tried and it even works on Daytona flat black stickers so you know your good on plastic. I do the Dawn dish soap and then several coats of Zaino 2 times a year. I hit it with a clay bar on the spring clean though.

Eagle one Nano wax, clear liquid, it works great, the decals do not get glossy, they stay flat black. the easiest wax i have ever used, no worry about black plastic.

Oh Yeah! Zaino for the win
I have been really, really happy with using Zaino since I purchased my Charger. I use it on every part of the car, even the windows.
I am getting ready to do the WHOLE thing again starting with the clay bar. It's a lot of work but definitely worth it.
