I have been searching the site for answers and maybe im just missing the correct keyword. I was gonna upgrade to the nav unit for my charger but it didnt have a mp3 input without getting all this extra stuff. So I decided I want to install the Eclipse AVN2454 all in one because I like the cleaner look than installing one with mototized screen that pops out. But the problem is I know wanted to know which bezel would I need. I havent had time to measure anything but it looke like the DC nav unit may be a bit bigger than Double-DIN so im thinking I would have to mod the existing one? Does anyone know or have experience putting a Dbl-din unit in a charger/lxplatform car or could they point me to a thread that would give me a definate answer on what I would need to do?

I think your looking for an In-dash Installation Kit. Got one for my other car from Best Buy. Ques about the in-dash system your looking for, can you use the Nav system while playing a DVD?

From what I am reading from the reviews there 2 two disc slots behing the screen and has an output for external screens to watch DVD's on while nav is on the primary screen on unit. So best buy carries dbl-din installation kits?

thats all I could find.
I;m curius aswell, how hard is it to put in a double din unit and have it look nice and flush. Should one order the normal console trim, or the trim used with the DC navsat systems.

From what I have been reading it would be much easier to use the reg trim and mod it out and just use a metra kit to fill in the "mouse ears". The Nav trim opening is definetly bigger than a dbl-din unit so you would have to fill in the space. Personally I filling would be much harder than makin room. Heres a link from someone who did it in their magnum on lxforums> http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=21677

Thanks to some helpful guys here on the forums, I decided when I'm ready to install a 2DIN unit in my dash I'm going to buy a second copy of the normal dash trim to mod. I'll cut a taller whole and then custom build 4 black back lit buttons to fill the mouse ears with. Its my intention that the buttons will control a bluetooth car kit (its likely you can't make use of a factory uconnect after swaping out head units) now I just need to tackle learning how to mold durable plastic in my garage and what BT kit will intergate best into my plans. (needs to be able to mute the radio and use car speakers and have its "control pad" replaced with the 4 buttons option I'm making) so in the end it all looks kinda facoctory still.

It doesn't play DVDs. I just hooked up my PS2 slim, to it, and now it plays DVDs. haha
