Went to VMP tonite to run my 93 mustang and to enjoy a evening with my wife!! First pass was good enough for me to warm up 11.62@114 not to bad the car runs consist 11.50's so I happy with the pass. I pull around for my next pass to my suprise I have a SRT8 model sitting next to me. Car was a clean black car. Spoke to the owner seems to be a nice guy.So I ask him what kinda of SRT model it was. He answered 300 Chrysler. I start to give the guy a little **** talk and he's not bitting. I think what a dumb ****, this guy in this heavy ass car must not know much about drag racing. Then we raced. I launch hard 300 drops back but only to my door. The out come I would have never expected. I run a 11.49@114.60 to his 11.40@ 120.
He beat me. Went to find him after the fact and I asked a track offical if he seen the car and he tells me they told him to leave. Guy say he ran 2 11.40's with no bar we told him to take it home.

The moral of this story is 1 I'm looking for a new car to buy the wife and love the way Chargers look and hat to take my hat off for the performance on the the SRT8's. Secondly is this a pretty common et or was this car modded like crazy.

My wife said she seen the car go 12.01@113 ish and a 12.50@114 ish before the 2 11 second passes 11.40 and 11.41.

No roll bar. Tracks here in VA require a bar @11.49 or faster. VMP can be tight on this rule.

Yes just want to fine out what the car had done to it. Car just wasn't that loud. I know it has to have at least one power adder.

Based on my limited experience....I'd say that car had a 426 block AND a supercharger or juice....(or both???)

My stock SRT ran at VMP 3 weeks ago...my first time ever!!! see below.

This is a major modded car then? The car wasn't loud at all nor did I hear a supercharger.

The car is only a 6.1L and he ran all motor on the first two runs and them he use nitrious on the last two still is amazing to get 11s out of that. T500hps you know him as well, also hangs out of the DTP Racing group. I won't mention who he is until he posts.

Jay is right my car isn't a 426 or a 392. Stock motor with bolt-ons. There's always more to it but to get in the lows 12's the car has a DTP CMR tune that I run 100 octane fuel with. Otherwise the car has a AFE stage 2/ Magnaflow HI flos/ 180 T STAT/ 17 DR and alot of seat time. Car ran 12.90's stock. Cold air and seat time the car went 12.60's. After the BG tune and tstat with the .25 cent fan mod and ice the car went 12.40's on the RSA's and 12.26 with DR. Put the hi flow cats and CMR tune from DTP the car ran 12.01-12.03 on DR.
Left the 100 octane with a 100 shot pulling the tune back/ timing etc...11.41@119.88 they warned me I ran agian 11.40@120 and they asked me to leave and not to come back til the car was legal for sub 11.49!!

Your mustang runs very well and yes VMP did give me the boot for running the 11.40's twice!! It won't matter I'm not putting a rollcage in the car.

Buy the Charger SRT8 it'll be my next car I like the Blue Super Bee!!!
