Hello every1, I'm planning to save some $$ this spring and detail the charger myself  There are many products out there and its so confusing what to get.... what should I use for swirl removal, Polishing, Paint sealant and waxing if necessary?

oh and Im planning to get the ultimate detailing machine, its very similar to the porter cable but costs less, what do u guys think?

My local brother!

I grabbed a decent enough Simoniz buffer, price was right, seems to do the trick!... And for my initial cleaning after winter outside ill use Dawn dishsoap, but only once...As for what products to use im sure you've seen that Zaino is quite popular!..I use it and love it! I beleive you can get a "kit" off the Zaino website!

Everyone has their favorites. I use Meguiars, with teriffic results.

Start with their clay bar with Ultimate Quik Detail Spray. Then use their NXT Tech Wax 2.0 You'll be amazed at the mirror shine. I recommend that you view the Meguiars "how to" videos at:

Can't go wrong with Mequiars three step. Bet for the ultimate protection and shine check out Liquid Glass or Zaino.

Mirror Glaze Professional series

#7--Show car glaze

#26--Hi-tech yellow wax

#40--Vinyl & Rubber cleaner and conditioner--good for my vinyl decals, dash, tires...

I also use aerospace 303 (or whatever it's called) to clean my interior before applying the #40 to it...even though it's a cleaner as well.

That's what I use to finish off my car. For clay bar, I have tried Turtle Wax Ice...but I'm changing brands...probably go Meguiars too. I do like the Turtle Wax Ice detailer...I may stick with that.

I'm a sucker, but I do everything by hand and I make sure that everything is buffed completely...nothing makes me more sick than finding a spot that I missed!

I also want to try a paint sealer this year...I'm not sure about that yet.

For me, I use Meguiars Gold Class soap, then ICE Turtle wax and detailing spray afterwards. The windows I use Stoners Glass cleaner, and for the tires I use Black Magic products. Here's what my Daytona looks after its all done.

I think everyone uses Stoners because they were looking for a cheap high!

I use it also...makes the window disappear.

x2 exactly Except I would also recommend using the Ice Liquid Clay Bar too for this first clean. And then periodically after that.

I did that to my jeep last year. I bought Meguiars (I believe) Scratch Remover, its kind've like wax, you put it on let it get in the scratch and buff it out and it worked great for me.

Im gonna go with Meguiards, Zaino is kinda expensive

Flexx, I had a very bad scratch on the bottom my door from small rocks or road salt... Nufinish Scratch Dr. took care of it in less than 2 mins!

I never heard of IBIZ products 'til I was at friends house while he was detailing his Vette. He let me borrow some for the Charger. This stuff is amazing.

to get rid of those minor scratches a sealer does he trick then hit it with a good wax afterwards. You'll be amazes just after using the sealer.

And what the hell do you do after spending 4 hours washing and waxing your ride, then drive through water on the highway from construction and have that white dust from the construction workers cutting through concrete splashed down both sides.

Sry, at school and pissed and can't rant to anyone else.
