Ok so I just left the local exhaust store to see if they would change out my muffler on my 3.5 for a 1 in 2 out 40 series flowmaster. The guys said “it would not work.” He wants to take the stock “V coupling” out, run 2 separate pipes, install 2 40 series flowmaster, and 2 tips. He quoted me $600. He then said that if it was up to him he would by a stainless steal Magnaflow (part #16635).

How much did you guys pay for your exhaust? What would you do if you were me?

my exhaust guy did series 40 flowmaster 1-in 2-out with 3"x18" stainless tips for $350

said if I could find the heat shield for the gas tank he would run true duals (2 mufflers) for $400

I would find someone else personally.

check out the magnaflow from hhpracing.com, check out part number 16936. its a single down the middle, dual outlet....

make sure you click on the page that you are a forum member for the member pricing....

wherever you go, always keep in mind how long you plan to have the car and where you live. in the north east mid atlantic area, salt tears through aluminized pipe quicker than stainless steel.

thats part of the reason i went with the dual exit magnaflow in stainless steel as opposed to my normal routine of designing my own exhaust.

$600! I paid $510 for my Flowmaster catback, part #17405, and had it installed for $120. I would look for another place if I were you.
