Hello Charger Kings and Queens (I think it's only Kings so far).
I happened across this just today when I was in the Marauder forum and was led to the SRTforums.com where ekool anounced the new Charger board.
We know Daimler has to be up to something, or they wouln't let go of a 111,000 unit/yr (2003) Intrepid for the Magnum wagon.
Here's what I see in the crystal ball:
2005 Dodge Charger 2.7 V6
2005 Dodge Charger ES 3.5
2005 Dodge Charger SE 3.5 or 4.7
2005 Dodge Charger Pursuit (Police) 4.7
2006 Dodge Charger R/T 5.7 HEMI
2006 Dodge Charger Pursuit (Police) 5.7 HEMI
2007 Dodge Charger Daytona 6.1 HEMI

It sure seems quite in these lonely corridors. It's like the calm before the storm. Soon there will be plenty to talk about because there will be lots of competition for the New Charger like SLP GTO Judges (370,389 and 421hp RAM AIR units), Shelby Mustangs, new age Thunderbirds, V10 Crown Vics, maybe a new Camaro and plenty new RWD cars like mid-size Fords and GMs).
:o I'll just go to sleep for now.

I really hope they come out with this car, I am currently saving and was looking at the Mustang cobra, and than I caught wind of the Charger. I am so glad to see at least a concept of a muscle car from Dodge. I currently have a 2500 HD w/ the HEMI in it. I would sure love to have a 6.1L HEMI charger sitting in the garage. I love Dodge vehicles, never had any serious problems with them. I cant get my mind off the charger, I wish every time I think about it that it becomes a reality.

[QUOTE=MoparG]Shelby Mustangs...
Whatever happened to Carrol Shelby & Chrysler?
I had an 85 Shelby Charger and it was a great car for those times. Obviously nothing like the 68 Charger in power but was a good sports car for Dodge back then.
If Shelby is back to Mustangs, I assume his working w/Dodge cars is done.

I've lurked in a few other new forums and as they are very quite, I don't visit often. I can see how some came and went for a lack of conversation. It's easy for us, now that we have the car in hand, but it's hard to hold a continuing conversation in the hypothetical.

I remeber a post when somebody was bashing the chargers. saying that they were not real chargers and that the only true charger were the old school chargers. Anyway, I am a proud New Charger owner. Who cares if its a few years later. it is still a charger.

most people @ the inception of the board don't end up owning the vehicle that the board is based on, so they usually stop being active members. A lot of these guys are temporary transplants from the SRTForum, etc.
I'd wager a guess that 90% of the originating admins for car sites don't own a car that is the focus of their own website.

No meth men.
I'm here, as always. I was on vacation from the ol' PC and haven't responded or posted since May.
I am one of the original members. Check my history to see cool posts especially the infamous limited slip differential thread which I helped last for over 11 pages. The Charger still isn't available with the LSD but for $1500 Quaife will happily oblige to make your LX of choice a living fishtail monster.
Although I haven't bought a Charger yet I have four cars (every car I've ever owned) and all have a V8 and rear wheel drive for the main reason of the requirement of fishtailing.
A friend of mine is getting a 2008 Charger (he is ordering it now the way he wants it thanks to some input from me although he is amazingly knowledgable on the Charger without being a member here).
My crystal ball readings looked quite good I must say. I essentially predicted the 2.7 base Charger, the 3.5 SE, the police car, the R/T and the 6.1L option , and the Daytona.

two of those listed have been here since before the car was created.
58HAWK was around in March of this year, and MoparG was here today. 2 out of 5 have stuck around for the better part of 3 years. I think that is pretty good odds.
Especially when you consider that there were not near as many people to hang out with as there is now.
darnit! I just realized that I quoted something over 30 days old! I hate when that happens!

In the beginning was MoparG. Now the Charger Forum was formless and void, and he looked out upon the forum and said " I will create a thread" and the thread was good. He thought "this thread needs a name." And he named it I'm New Here (Who Isn't) / Crystal Ball Readings. A beer opened and drained and so it passed, the first beer.
Now MoparG also liked to visit other forums. He thought to himself, " I should share this so others may also follow, and learn, and share likewise." So he created another thread and called it Magnesium Pearl. He looked upon his threads and saw that they were good. A beer opened and drained. So it passed, the second beer.
J/K MoparG - I think it is really cool that you and many others are still here hanging out. Are these cool cars or what?! Yep, I think you were really close in your predictions.

Hey Man, thanks for the praise. Yes, I tried back in those days to keep the ball rolling that eKool had started. Granted the site was in it's infancy and I knew I would always stick around because we're lucky to have a Dodge Charger performance sedan. The 94-96 Impala SS came and went, the 03-04 Marauder came and went but the Charger seems to be alive and well coming into it's third year.
Thanks for checking out all my old posts. I was one of the few supporters in the beginning when the Charger was announced as a four door. I own a 94 Impala SS and two late 70's Dodge 4dr B-body sedans like the ones Rosco used in Dukes of Hazzard to fishtail and chase a certain orange Dodge Charger. For me the current Charger is a natural. It's Rosco's and the General Lee combined. How neat. I'd like to own a green Daytona and/or a R/T Road Track model and add AHB police rims (Michigan State Blue or 2001 Jaguar Roman Bronze although the discontinued Midnight Blue is now COLLECTOR FLY baby) and lower it 1 inch. Also an SRT sleeper with no SRT hood and no wing would be interesting with police rims; a true MoPar Pursuit vehicle to live in the image of the 1978 Dodge Monaco 440 big block (the 440 was only available as part of the police car package, the opposite of today where the cops can't get the 6.1).
I remember the original graphics of the website here before the Charger was introduced and it was the 1999 concept car image on the top left corner of the screen ( http://www.autodeadline.com/detail?source=&mid=WKA199901031018&mime=JPG) . I then believe it was switched to this: http://money.cnn.com/2004/10/04/pf/autos/charger_sketch/ .
I would imagine the original Administrators are still here too.
