Can anyone recomend someone in San Diego who could install a set of JBA shorty headers. I would really like to find someone who has done at least one header install on a Charger instead of being the first guinea pig. Price is important but getting it done right is more imoportant.

There is a place called Muffler Express located off Broadway in Chula Vista right behind the four wheel truck place with the big yellow sign. It is about a block south from Palamor and Broadway off of Interstate 5. Ask for Mike. He does great work and will work with you on the price. Tell him Drew sent you.

I used AJ USA to install the Gibson header and exhaust system on my Ram 2500 and they did excellent work. I was completely satisfied with the quality of their work. I used FMS up in San Bernardino to do the JPA and Magna Flow installation on my Charger.

You should contact JBA direct since they are in San Diego as well. They should be able to give you a good shop to use.

Just a thought.

There is also a JBA performance shop off the 15 as well. They specialize in Fords but do all kinds of cars. They have been in the performance business for many years.

I can't say that this place has definitely installed these header's yet, but I can tell you that I've used this guy for years and he has quite a reputation in San Diego. Here's his info:
Ed Hanson's Muffler Service
3916 North Barcelona St.
Spring Valley, CA 91977

I CAN tell you that I will be having him install the same headers on my R/T w/R&T when I get it(factory ordered two and a half weeks ago, ugh). I have 100% confidence in this place, everyone I've ever referred to Ed has been completely satisfied. Hope this helps you out.

I stoped by the JBA shop off 15 and they were very nice offered to do the job for a fair price but admited they had never done one before. I have to buy some fishing tackle next week so I wil be out in spting valley. I will check out hansons. Ivee heard of him. If no on has done one then its just who do I have confidence in. just a gut call I quess.

I'm 98% sure Ed has A mandrel bender. For a little extra, the inside diameter of your exhaust is the same through every bend unlike the u-bender, or wrinkle type bends. Most place's don't offer it.

I use to live close to Chula Vista back in the ealry 90s. Hearing those street names and Chula Vista brings back fond memories. I use to date a honey (she was a musician at the the time) who lived in Chula Vista. Now she is a movie star and has done a few tv series and shows.

I knew another girl in Chula Vista, her name was Selena. She was a SoCal native. If you know Selena, and everybody knows Selena if you get my drift, tell her I am not mad at her. - lol

Arl37,
what about JBA itself right off of the 52 on Convoy?
it's there product.
They guinea pigged it on someone else's car already.
That would be my first choice.
Good luck wherever you go.
and congrats on the car!
Sincerely,
