SoCal Meet & Greet - Hooters, Ana. Feb. 25th

Well it's already started, I guess we just can't stand to be away from each other for very long. Anyone else interested just post up.

There are some current parking issues here and I will posting some pics on Saturday. If this doesn't work out a back up plan will be needed and I will be looking for something, but if anyone else has some ideas let us know.

One possible option is the parking at Dave & Busters at THE BLOCK of Orange, it's usually pretty open in the back.

Ok my freinds here's the 411 on the locations and a little scoop.



First, this is a pic of the top level of the parking structure adjacent to Hooters its 5 or 6 levels to the top and about 100 yds over to Hooters.

This pic is of the parking ground level at Hooters and there really is plenty, however there is only the one narrow drive in and out, you can sorta see the road next to the green heafty bag fence. Hooters is the gray & brown building at the far end of the parking lot.

These two pics are at Chili's just a half mile or so down from Hooters on Katella. I spoke with the manager at Chili's and he directed to property management as they do not control the parking area, will have to check back as there was no one available to speak with at that time.

Also there is a store that has been converted and has on display some Classic Cars. Kinda Neat....

And Finally Dave & Busters at THE BLOCK of ORANGE.

Again spoke with the Manager who directed me to properity Security. This time there was someone to speak with, they indicated that there would probably not be an problem as other clubs have been there in the past but that she would verify and give me call.

Now for the SCOOP! I am always in contact with fatchance, HEMEEE, sweeper6 about our plans for future events. Well some of the details are starting to come together for the LARGE March meet and I expect fatchance will be making an announcement in a week or so. With the being said if what I'm hearing comes to pass which likely will; I will be passing on the Feb meet in order to get more goodies for the Magnum for the March meet. And after the announcement I'm pretty sure the rest of you may be joining me.



Now if you still have the urge for a little gathering there is Beach Burger on Friday night Feb. 3rd. starting at 7:00pm.

Note: The parking lot is torn up in front of Hooters but the side lot is open, wonder if Hooters Anaheim management would be willing to tape or cone off a section of the lot based on the estimated number? Also bet they'd be willing to sponsor some grub/beer? I go there at least once a week and would be glad to ask if someone else has not done so already?

Still doing the waiting thing as well. Black SRT-8 got off the train today and will arrive by truck on the 3rd. If an earthquake doesn't swallow her up, I'll be there. WAITING SUCKS!!!

Well guys those pics were taken on a Saturday morning around 9:00am, I was a little surprised myself.

I will get all the lists updated later tonight or in the morning and yes we're still on but for a different reason which I will elude to after the March meet info is posted.

At this point we will stay on the ground level parking adjacent to Hooters.

One of our own and a hard working "Committee" member sweeper6 will not be able to make the March "Spring Fling" meet. As most know he is still serving acitive duty as a trainer and just recieved temporary transfer papers to Guatemala for 3 weeks of training (He's doing the training).


So all that being said I say we give him a Hooters send off and thank him for all the work he'll be putting into making the March meet a succes and making sure the rest of us have a great time while he misses the festivities.

Well folks the on again, off again, on again Hooters saga continues.

First, with sweeper6 having a limited amount of time to get things tied up before his short trip abroad has but a few weekends free. Well it now turns out the weekend of the 25th was the only time he can get up to see his Mom & family before going, so he won't be able to make this meet either.



Now I hadn't originally planned on going to the Nascar event at Fontana that weekend but I was told I could sit in the box seats above Pit row if I'm interested. But I said no! ,,,, The Heck I did, I'm so there it ain't funny.



I love you guys, but box seats above Pit Row.

But please don't let us not being there stop the gathering from happening, by all means go and have a great time.

We had a great time. I have never seen so many SRT8 Chargers in one spot. I think we had 5 of them. We had supercharged SRT8 and an SRT8 Jeep. The Jeep was unreal. The next big meet is March 25 and I'm going on record to say this will be the largest gathering of LX cars yet. This will be an event to attend no matter where you are form in the country.
